The spin has started ---- Clinton Camp Memo Downplays South Carolina Results

Clinton Camp Memo Downplays South Carolina Results
Saturday, January 26th, 2008

Memo written by communications director Howard Wolfson seemingly diminishes South Carolina outcome — highlighting Obama’s strong support, big lead in the Palmetto state polls, then quickly turning to significance of Florida, February 5 states.

“Regardless of today’s outcome, the race quickly shifts to Florida, where hundreds of thousands of Democrats will turn out to vote on Tuesday.”

“As Senator Clinton has said from the beginning, we have built a national campaign with the resources to compete and win across the country.”

17. I Can Understand The Penn Hate?
But why the Wolfson hate?

Here's a man who is so true to Democratic principles he won't even date a Republican as I would not:

"Howard wolfson has never so much as dated a Republican."

22. I hated him until he wore that sweater in New Hampshire
that was Howard's humanizing moment. Far better than the tears in my book.

16. Hillary was ahead by 7 points at the LEAST in NV and spun her win as an "upset."
They even said they had all the organized forces AGAINST her there. :eyes:

6. That means they know they're winning
They knew damn well that they were winning in NH when they did their whole "Oh woe is us" routine.

9. Another case of Big Surprise when a campaign does the normal thing.
This is what happens when a candidate expects to lose -- look ahead to the next states and remind everybody it's not over yet.

10. Zogby's last poll has Obama walking away with SC. SO?
Is Clinton supposed to lie down and die because of it? If she doesn't crawl to Obama's feet and bow six times kissing the dirt, you act like she's doing something wrong. SHE'S CAMPAIGNING FOR THE PRESIDENCY. If you have the money to go on, YOU GO ON.

Just like Obama didn't lie down and die after New Hampshire.
