I've been strongly anti-Hillary and pro-Obama, but I'm now giving serious thought to Edwards.

Anyone else feeling the same?

1. Yes.
I've announced my support of Obama, but now I'm on the fence between Obama and Edwards.

18. What is the indecision?
I"m asking because there seems to me to be a clear difference, and I'm interested in how you perceive it.

Thanks....

7. I support Hillary but
if you're leaving Obama, thank goodness you've seen the light. I can support any Democrat in November as I've done for 35+ years. But if Obama gets the nom, I know I'll feel like I did in '72 knowing that a disaster on election day awaits.

You're supporting Edwards now? Good for you. Edwards is a good man and not the conning, sleaze Obama is turning out to be.

8. If you're interested in putting an end to the Repuglican Party as we know it, make it Edwards.
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 01:51 PM by patrice
Think of all of those people who have been voting for Republicans against their own best interests all of these years. Those folks CAN hear what John Edwards is saying to them, much better than they can actually listen to our other two candidates.

15. That's my take on it. And, please believe me, I'm so fraught with "reality testing"
that sometimes I'm paralyzed. I'm known for being what is often referred to as a "flip-flopper" because I want the TRUTH more than anything else.

Edwards or Un-Committed ALL of the Way!

10. I've been for Edwards all along, although I've tried to keep an open mind.
I've always disliked Hillary's "one foot on the boat, the other on the dock" stance on the issues. She panders to whoever she's speaking to at any given moment, so you never really know where she stands.

I liked Barack at first, but after the Donnie McClurkin thing, it was obvious to me he's a hypocrite and a bigot. And now with the Rezko news, he may be a liar as well. Reminds me too much of George Bush, and I've had enough of that.

So, it's John Edwards for me.

I always thought Obama was the ideal candidate, but it is Edwards who has the ideal platform.

Wish I could combine the two. :7

21. Funny thing about Obama . . .
Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 02:17 PM by patrice
I run across people who support him "completely" and, when I check, they know absolutely nothing about the Issues.

I'm NOT saying you are one, but I also run across people who know absolutely nothing about the issues and they absolutely cannot trust Obama.

I guess all that really adds up to is that there are a whole lot of people out there who don't know anything about the issues.

I wonder how different things would be if more people knew more about the Issues.

Democracy for America provided very quickly for all of the Deanocrats who didn't know anything. I even saw some of these Dean supporters do real harm to the movement in Iowa, by trying to argue certain issues to the "death" of those with whom they disagreed. It WAS nasty and I even saw a few Kerry people go around and pick up the pieces in a much friendlier and more inviting manner.

Soon after all of that, Democracy for America started providing training. I did one of their 3 day courses with a bunch of my friends. They are still doing these trainings on a regular basis and I recommend them. Obama's folks should get on that project.

I'm NOT a Political Machine supporter, but I think there are MANY people around who are seriously in need of a little depth of perspective on the Issues and the Process and some of those people are being used by operators with double and triple hidden agendas.

26. Edwards all along
I've been for Edwards since day one. I was for him four years ago. Why? HE CAN WIN! That's why. Plus, he has the best message. It amazes me more Democrats can't understand that. The guy is our best shot to win the general. Hillary will lose, and Obama is very iffy.
