Edited on Sat Jan-26-08 02:12 PM by Proud2BAmurkin
Everybody in every camp here should be raising a glass to the Clintons for doing the single thing that would do the most to eliminate McCain from the race if he's going to be eliminated.

By saying they're "close" it tells the Freeptards they're chummy and there's no difference between them. It helps Romney. That's the only reason he said it.

7. The funny thing is...
... with a membership of only 100 people that works together on a daily basis, the entire Senate is "close".

Even Paul Wellstone said he and Jesse Helms were friends, much to the horror of people who don't know how DC works.

On the house side, Tip O'Neil was good friends with Gerald Ford, too.

Most people don't realize it, but outside of politics, the members of congress tend to be on good personal terms with one another. They (unlike many people) seem to be able to disconnect their personal feelings away from their political feelings.
