Love drove Bill over campaign line: Clinton

Love drove Bill over campaign line: Clinton

by Stephen Collinson

MEMPHIS, Tennessee (AFP) - Hillary Clinton admitted Sunday her husband Bill's hard-charging campaign tactics had gone overboard, but chalked the ex-president's fiery broadsides up to love and a chronic lack of sleep.

<...>

"He loves me just like, you know, husbands and wives get out there and work on each others' behalf."

<...>

"Maybe he got a little carried away. You know, that comes with a hard-fought election," she said.

"It also comes with sleep deprivation which, you know, I think is marking all of us, our families, our supporters," said Clinton, who herself is running low on sleep, as she jets back-and-forth across the country.

18. its been written about that he only gets about five hours of sleep a
day, he has so much he wants to do. that can lead to heart failure and he has had heart trouble. you must rest to think and deal.

19. Churchill got about four hours sleep
In between cigars, brandy and 15 minute naps.

High-powered people typically need less sleep than the rest of us. They are energized. That's why they are who they are.

Remember Bill and his late night discussions? He loves the intensity.

4. I call it "entitlement", a sense that the power is theirs and they miss it and they want it back
This is a whole different thing than Bush Sr and Bush Jr being in the White House at two different times but not together. These two have already been there done that. Time to let some new blood in.

Could give a damn about seeing her in the oval office. He just wants to get into his groove of slash-n-burn politics.

14. At least she admits it was over the line, or "carried away" as she puts it
That's more than some of her supporters on this website would be willing to do. I wonder if we can look forward to fewer attacks from Bill in the future.

20. LOL - they don't "love" each other, they just have mutual alliances. Typical
for most political couples.
