Kennedy vs. Kennedy-Kathleen Kennedy Townsend Endorses Hillary Clinton
Kathleen Kennedy Townsend Endorses Hillary Clinton!
by wandering i
Sun Jan 27, 2008
Looks like it's becoming Kennedy vs. Kennedy in the endorsement wars. Now this is getting interesting! Immediately after Teddy Kennedy and Caroline Kennedy announced their endorsements of Barack Obama, Kathleen Kennedy Townsend has now offered her endorsement of Hillary Clinton:

"I respect Caroline and Teddy's decision but I have made a different choice. While I admire Senator Obama greatly, I have known Hillary Clinton for over 25 years and have seen first hand how she gets results. As a woman, leader, and person of deep convictions, I believe Hillary Clinton would make the best possible choice for president. She shares so many of the concerns of my father. Hillary has spent a lifetime speaking out on behalf of the powerless and working to alleviate poverty, in our country and around the world. I have seen her work up close and know she will be a great President. At this moment when so much is at stake at home and overseas, I urge our fellow Americans to support Hillary Clinton. That is why my brother Bobby, my sister Kerry, and I are supporting Hillary Clinton."

32. They aren't the BORG. CKS was raised out of country half the time.
She didn't interface much with the RFK cousins, who were raised in the US and saw their father's political career at a slightly older age before his murder.

Not all cousins are alike. The RFK cousins go one way, Uncle Ted and CKS go another.

Kathleen Kennedy Townsend is a "big one" but Ted Kennedy is just some drunken old fool right? The only time I hear about KKT is when she ran a horrible campaign for governor in Maryland and couldn't even beat a Republican in a blue state.

Caroline's endorsement was well written puff, much like Obama's speeches. And Ted's was hot air.

If she had run a better campaign Maryland wouldn't have had to suffer a Republican governor for four years. No disrespect but Ted and Caroline Kennedy have a lot more credibility!

25. From the boston globe

Kennedy believes Obama can ``transcend race'' and bring unity to the country, a Kennedy associate told the Globe. Kennedy was also impressed by Obama's deep involvement last year in the bipartisan effort to craft legislation on immigration reform, a politically touchy subject the other presidential candidates avoided, the associate said.

You're totally daft if you think after this trickle down Kennedy pomp I will even bother to read your critical "formal" rant.

When you start to remove a valve, and steam starts gushing out, you really don't need to remove the rest of the valve to dudce there is probably a lot more steam down there.

27. A bunch of hot air
Is Caroline saying that JFK had reagan policies and just never had the chance to endorse them? Is she saying that all we need in a president is the ability to help immigrants and mediate civil rights legislation? Obama should be angry at being exploited because he is Black.I didn't hear of Obama doing much about civil rights until just lately. Gosh-he's going to need to haul out his tattered copy of Reagan do's and don'ts and see what the Gipper would do for civil rights. Didn't he say that he admired reagan and the GOP for setting precedent???

Glad Hill has some friends though.

When I look at him, I don't see a black man, I see a great leader. When I look at her, I see a smart, super competent woman who has given her life to serve.

When he speaks, he lifts our hearts. When she speaks, it sounds like she's reading a Saturday morning to-do list.

She doesn't inspire me. This just in.

Who asked her? Did Ted Comment when she "stomped" for Hillary? I don't think so.

Plus, there is an endorsement on Hillary's page dated 1/27/08.

I'm telling ya. It's pathetic.

Kind of like when Hillary feels compel to say...."we have so many people in the other room".....at her events. Like that's supposed to tell us that she got big crowds. Or when she changes the faces of her backdrop from old folks in Iowa to Young Folks in NH. Like we are just too stupid to know that it is all spin and artificial positioning.

I'm not stupid.

53. KKT is such a big endorsement that no one realizes she did it a month ago!
And from KKT, RFK Jr's mom:

A year later, near the end of Mr. Obama’s first year in the Senate, Ethel Kennedy asked him to speak at a ceremony for her husband’s 80th birthday. At the time, she referred to Mr. Obama as “our next president.”

“I think he feels it. He feels it just like Bobby did,” Mrs. Kennedy said in an interview that day, comparing her late husband’s quest for social justice to Mr. Obama’s. “He has the passion in his heart. He’s not selling you. It’s just him.”

Over a black man as Lt. Governor and lost a sure-thing election to
Bob Ehrlich, a bumbling suburban country-club Republican resembling
Moe from the Three Stooges, as a result.

She is persona non grata in Maryland.
