. . .as a matter of fact her trip to Florida can be risky because it builds up expectations, expectations she might not live up to. LOL

1. I think she will win. Bill and Hillary are great
at doing whatever it takes to win... smears... lies... lawsuits etc.

2. The way the Clintons work
They wouldn't be fighting for the primary if there were any doubt about the upcoming results. See Michigan for an example.

4. It would also be humorous to see the Clinton and Obama supporters here
each do a 180. Clinton's peeps would argue that there are no delegates at stake so who cares, while the Obama peeps would tout the importance of a win right after SC. ;)

7. If She Does Poorly I Would Conclude She Was Finished And Turn My Attention To Other Things
That's because I believe Florida is so represenative of the rest of the nation and if she can't win here she can't win anywhere...

9. I didn't see your post when I was typing mine. You said it first
But I for one will not minimize the significance of Obama winning or even coming close to winning in Florida. It think that would be a very serious blow to Hillary Clinton's campaign.

10. Here is the thing, Obama and his supporters won't need to do anything the media will run with it
. . .Clinton has raised the expectations for Florida and put it on the media's map. If she faulters and loses or does not have a large margin of victory the press will have a field day.

12. The press will run with the results either way
I am used to spin that raises or lowers expectations for how a candidate will perform in an election. This spin from the Obama camp though is unique; Raising expectations that the Florida Primary itself will matter if Obama does well, and lowering expectations that the Florida Primary itself will matter if Clinton does well.

13. There is no story if Hillary wins and you know it. . .
. . .she has always been expected to win. There is no story.

But if Obama performs much better than expected when the actual secret ballot vote of a million Floridians gets tallied, it will be funny to watch as so many Obama supporters who have been writing so many threads over the last week about how meaningless the Florida Primary is, suddenly get Religion regarding Florida. If Obama wins Florida, or even if he loses by a smaller than expected margin, those Obama supporters will suddenly show up on DU armed with a dozen arguments proving how absolutely relevent and vitally important the Florida results are.

8. Florida will remain meaningless but it could definitely have an impact on Super Duper Tuesday. . .
. . .if Obama wins or stays close without campaigning it makes Hillary look really weak after working to win Florida.

11. Right on cue.
If Florida has an impact on Super Duper Tuesday Florida is far from meaningless. And Florida WILL have a meaning on Super Duper Tuesday if Hillary has a big victory there, not only if Obama wins or stays close there. I am even handed enough to see that the Florida results can help or hurt either candidate.

It's because the Florida results are important that Obama scrambled to find a way of campaigning in Florida with his, and only his, campaign ads being broadcast into over 6.5 million Florida households despite his having signed the 4 State Pledge not to campaign inside Florida. Obama has attended fund raisers in the exact same Florida cities as Hillary.

15. See Post Seven
I have no need to spin people here and spin myself...If Hillary can't do well in one of the largest and most diverse states in the nation she's unlikely to do well in the nation at large...If she can do well here it tells me she can do well in the nation at large...

21. And maybe they'd reconsider those pesky delegates too
I wonder if the Floridians' voting rights would suddenly be meaningful to them?
