Has anyone changed their mind based on the discussion here in GDP? About who they support, or
whether they would vote for one candidate or another?

I don't read the majority of these threads, but they don't seem like the kind of discussion conducive to swaying anyone's support away from their preferred candidate.

1. I changed my mind and got on the Obama band wagon because

of the rabid attacks against him here by what I am assuming are probably Clinton supporters, staffers, volunteers. He must be the real deal to illicit such attacks.

I mean, heck, these attacks are going on when most of us are at work. Who has time like that?

3. I no longer support Obama in any capacity due to his supporters
incessant attacks on Hillary and Edwards.

2. If anything, much of the "discussion" going on here in GDP
is more about trying to out-offend each other. Nobody will be swayed to vote FOR a candidate with the kind of vitriol people have for one another in here. Some might be swayed AGAINST a candidate with some of the posts that have been made though.

I've certainly been swayed away from voting for Obama because of the overbearing pushy way his supporters present the facts and/or information about him. I'm certainly not interested in spending any more time than I have to arguing with Obama supporters. My ignore list has grown quite large this primary season, unfortunately.

Personally, what I would like to see is a calm, thoughtful, respectful comparison of issues candidate by candidate with several referee/mods in place to keep it to the facts only and no squabbling or campaign slogans or accusations or insults being hurled around in the thread or threads. Just the facts...not likely to happen though.

5. It just doesn't seem very productive, what I see here. I don't really see how it's better than
just having separate forums for the candidates' partisans, because meeting inside each others' threads just seems like there's a lot of anger and insults towards the candidates and their supporters.

4. Didn't like Hillary
Thought she wasn't honest and would do anything to get in power. I sense her followers have the same sense of right and wrong as she, so how could they convince me otherwise about Hillary.

Honesty still matters. So does fairness and running a clean campaign.

The discussions here have not changed my mind about a candidate. Only the candidates have changed my mind. Kucinich didn't have a prayer, Biden dropped out, so Edwards is my next choice. Obama after him. After that I hope we have a wild convention where anything could happen. I understand the delegates are committed to a candidate only during the first round - anybody know?

6. Some very thoughtful endorsements of Hillary - from Tom Rinaldo, Gulliver, rodeodance
helped me go through the process.
I have been reading Tom Rinaldo's endorsement many times - as I was torn

8. I wish we had more fact-based intellectual discussions of issues.
