The facts on Hillary's female support, Obama's black support, Edwards' white male support
There has been a lot of discussion about this lately and a lot of misinformation out there. This sets the record straight without taking a position on the reasons for these numbers. The national numbers come from the latest CNN poll.

Whites: Hillary 43%, Obama 25%, Edward 23%
Blacks: Obama 59%, Hillary 31%, Edwards 4%

White men: Clinton 31%, Edwards 29%, Obama 29%
Black men: Obama 74%, Clinton 21%, Edwards 2%
White women: Clinton 54%, Obama 21%, Edwards 18%
Black women: Obama 49%, Clinton 38%, Edwards 5%

South Carolina

Women: Obama 54%, Clinton 30%, Edwards 16%
Men: Obama 54%, Edwards 23%, Clinton 23%

White: Edwards 40%, Clinton 36%, Obama 24%
Black: Obama 78%, Clinton 19%, Edwards 2%

Black men: Obama 80%, Clinton 17%, Edwards 3%
Black women: Obama 78%, Clinton 20%, Edwards 2%
White men: Edwards 45%, Clinton 28%, Obama 27%
White women: Clinton 42%, Edwards 36%, Obama 22%

New Hampshire

Female: Clinton 46%, Obama 34%, Edwards 15%
Male: Obama 40%, Clinton 29%, Edwards 19%

Whites: Clinton 39%, Obama 36%, Edwards 17%
White men: Obama 38%, Clinton 30%, Edwards 20%
White women: Clinton 46%, Obama 33%, Edwards 16%

While I was looking through the New Hampshire numbers I found this and thought I would post it after the similar figure in SC was spun to imply Edwards is pro-war. Obama won 51% of the vote of folks who wanted to keep troops in Iraq in New Hampshire. Clinton was a distant second at 24% and Edwards got 21%.

Iowa (entrance poll. This does not take into account the second round of voting.)

Women: Obama 35%, Clinton 30%, Edwards 23%
Men: Obama 35%, Edwards 24%, Clinton 23%

1. I find it intriguing that a black man is 10x more likely to vote for Clinton than Edwards.

... and that a black woman is twice as likely as a black man to vote for Edwards.

2. And how much of the population is black in SC
weighted against the national percentage of blacks? Until you compare apples to apples, you're telling us nothing.

5. That makes no difference to the thread's purpose

For example one of my points was to dispel the myth that Hillary was getting overwhelming support among women that Obamites point to when Obama's 78% among blacks in South Carolina comes up. She isn't even getting a majority.

6. More Iowa numbers please
How about the White Men and White Women in Iowa....

Lets see real numbers, not your distorted ones.

Whites support Obama, deal with it. One southern state THAT STILL FLYS THE CONFEDERATE FLAG OVER IT'S CAPITAL BUILDING is not an accurate reflection of his support among whites.

7. There are two pages of exit poll data for Iowa. 7 pages for South Carolina
Since there are so few minorities in Iowa the "men" and "women" categories are de facto "white men" and "white women" figures.

What distortions? These are the facts. Obamites can't "hope" away reality.
