be willing to compete with the big dawg for 2nd dibs, because I think that might be the case. If it's not, convince me, nicely please.

Edit to add: not compete politically as in an election, but every other which way.

1. She wouldn't choose Bill for VP.
What gave you that idea?

3. That wasn't my question; who would be willing to share the spotlight?
Edited on Mon Jan-28-08 03:41 AM by babylonsister
PS And why is it MY fault that you can't read what I wrote? :eyes:

Edit to add: I gave the wrong impression in my OP, so I'm sorry. I meant in comparison to Bill being around and adoring the spotlight.

Unless she and Obama could get over their bad blood.

EDIT: I see you've changed your reply to a) be more obnoxious, and b) reveal the disingenuousness behind your post. :eyes:

2. Most any accomplished politician
would jump at the offer.

Your contention that it would be a competition with Bill is just nonsensical, and indicative of your twisted thinking when it comes to all things Clinton.

4. Bottom line about Bill as VP...
under present law, he would not be elgible since he has already served two terms as president.

Babble On Sis....

9. she didn't mean to imply that Bill could run for VP
she's being more insulting and insidious.

She's saying that Bill Clinton would be powerful and the subject of a lot of media attention, and that no VP would want to serve against so much competition.

suppose it's too late for that.

17. Actually that's not true.
He could indeed run for vice president. He cannot be elected president again. Vice president, yes.

5. It looks like she might tap Bill.
Only way to keep people from giggling when they introduce him as "The First Gentleman" is to give him the bigger title Mr. Vice President.

Whoa, we actually could see a real third Bill term.

8. What?
Are you suggesting Bill Clinton would be selected VP? Or are you making some kind of joke?

I still think Wesley Clark is a possibility. I'd like to see Obama as VP. All of his supporters who said they will NEVER vote for Hillary would then be in a quandry. ALso he'd get the experience that he would need to counter any concerns about his experience when he runs in 2016.

15. I don't think Bill would be a big problem for the VP because
Hillary wouldn't let him steal HER thunder either. :)
I think Bill would be given occasional statesman stuff to do, and otherwise be an ear, but he's busy with the Clinton Global Inititave, and his other foundation work, and I really believe she intends to do the job herself.

I think she'd look for someone who balances her. And is a fairly strong personality. Clark, Obama, JE, Biden, some have said Webb, but I don't know enough about him.
