Poll question: Should Rezko Emulate Susan McDougal and Refuse to Talk?
If he plays his cards right, Rezko might find himself on http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=susan+mcdougal+pardon">the receiving end of a pardon for his loyalty.

Should he emulate Susan McDougal?

Thanks for registering your opinion.

1. Better yet, buy Barak a Big New House.
I may not be surprised to see a Chicago politician in the pocket of a sleeze but I'm a little surprised to see such a young idealist bought off for such a low price.

4. Hsu is doing time for offenses completely unrelated to politics
or campaign financing. Why, do you think it would help to have a slumlord buy him a house as well? Or maybe Hsu can relocate in one of the 11 barely habitable slums that were operating within Barak's senate district, owned and operated by his major donor.

Thanks!

9. Hsu had pled guilty to a state charge of fraud but failed to show
up for sentencing and went on the lam, which became a federal infraction. He turned himself in in 2007 and was taken into custody.

12. Many Thanks!
I wonder if he's cooperating on anything else, in return for leniency/reduced sentence?

11. Wherever he's at, he's not giving the Clintons any sweetheart deals
by selling them a house at 1/2 its market value and having his wife buy the lot next door to resell a portion of it to Obama at a below market price.

Oh the humanity of it, the saintly Obama's halo is a little tarnished. How sad..........

I hope that Rezko sings like a canary!!!!!!!

15. Bookmarked...
... for when an inconvenient tell-all book about the Clintons' money ties appears on shelves, right around the convention, if Hillary is the nom.

7. I think assuming he has anything incriminating to say about Obama
is pure speculation and that your OP is a not very clever smear.

10. I Think You Misunderstand...
... and I'd love to hear Obama say, loud and proud: "Let me put it this way. If Rezko did anything wrong, I will pledge not to pull a Clinton and give him a last minute pardon, a la Susan McDougal or Mark Rich."

Put the ball right back in their court.

8. I work in the federal criminal defense area. His cooperation will depend
solely on what is waiting for him at the end. And believe me, the feds (at least in this part of the country) aren't giving much out in return for cooperation. The US Attorneys are reacting to the SCOTUS's rulings putting the power back in the hands of the judges recently, and so there hasn't been a whole lot of give and take going on. It will all depend on how big a fish Rezko can hand over. And even then, his plea deal may not be that good a "deal".

13. Interesting SCOTUS Rulings...
... on minimum sentencing guidelines of late, to be sure.

But, if he were reasonably assured of a last-minute pardon, as Susan McDougal was, would that alter the dynamics of the (and I use this term loosely) Prisoner's Dilemma?
