Dennis needs your help - Corporate media strategy: silence Kucinich,

From Email Received from Dennis Kucinch

Corporate media strategy: silence Kucinich,
then remove him from office

Click here to view Dennis' message.Over the past several weeks, the alphabets of corporate media dug their heels in the court system and in the federal agency established to protect and advocate fairness on the public airwaves (FCC), to keep Dennis Kucinich from bringing his ideas – your ideas – to the Democratic Presidential debates: ABC ... NBC ... GE ... MSNBC ... CNN.

On Sunday, another major media corporation, The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer newspaper, followed the lead established by the national media, and demanded that Dennis Kucinich should be removed from his office as Congressman in the 10th District of Ohio. Why? "his defiance" of Congressional go-along, get-along policies.

It's time fight back against the powers that are trying to steal your power as citizens of the United States of America.

So far, the corporate media have succeeded in setting the agenda. They have argued, for their own profit-driven and self-serving interests, that private corporations are exempt by the First Amendment from providing full and fair and non-pre-selected information to you, the people -- even though freedom of speech is your right under the U.S. Constitution.

They have manipulated the political and judicial process to ensure that private media corporations will decide what you can hear, what you can see, what you can read, and what you are allowed to know.

But, when media influence over news and information becomes media control of our government, it's time to rise up in protest in defense of ourselves.

Let your family and friends know that it was not enough to keep Congressman Kucinich out of the Presidential debates. Now, they want to remove him from the U.S. Congress.

The only way to fight back is to contribute to his re-election campaign so he can continue to represent you: ending the war in Iraq and bringing those trillions of dollars back home; a national health care system for all Americans, an end to NAFTA and other trade agreements that have outsourced millions of American jobs; restoration of our civil liberties; an environmental program that will ensure our energy independence and create untold new jobs.

Don't let the corporate media take everything away from you. Help re-elect Congressman Dennis Kucinich. The strongest and truest voice you have is the one they are trying the hardest to silence: Congressman Dennis J. Kucinich.

Thank you,
The Kucinich for Congress Campaign

1. I never contribute
except for dennis. I gave to his presidential bid and now I just gave a hundred bucks to his congresional campaign. I don't have alot of money, but giving money for a pipe dream was fun, giving money to make sure dennis still has a voice is a must. If you Like dennis, if you have seen his voting record then you know what you need to do. Corprate america is trying to silence a voice for good and replace it with a bought and paid for drone. Don't let this happen and donate today!!

3. Glad you contributed - our voices must be heard - the media is drowning them out
Unfortunately other peasants have drunk the kool-aid and are joining the silencing, nastiness, meanness and typical republican behavior of non civility -

2. Are you still peddling this nonsense?
No one needs to expend an ounce of effort to "silence" a 5-percenter. He has his message, he delivered it to the people, the people yawned and went with other candidates. Not everyone that you support will be a winner; this is a sad fact one learns as they grow up and life life.

5. He did well in the 2004 primaries when he was allowed to speak.

So yeah, he had a message, he tried to deliver it, it was NOT heard because he was squelched, and the people did what they always do: they did what the Teevee said.

7. He was not squelched
You're as bad as the FReepers, screaming lies loudly enough to force others to believe it is true.

9. The whining about exclusions from debates,
the waste of time funding the NH recount, mainly. "The MSM hates me!" is the easiest of the easy fallbacks to blame a failing campaign on.

I agree with him on most issues, and think he can and should remain in the House. But his presidential campaigns of 04 and 08 simply failed to gain traction with the voters; not because of some hidden machinations to "squelch" his message, but by the simple reason that they voters preferred other candidates.

I'm tired of the conspiracy BS, basically.

11. k well thats a seperate issue so take the hate elsewhere
he is done with his campaign for presidancy if you like his voting record then help support him. this is not a consipiracy. Their are 3 new candidates running for his seat. All have corporate back and all candidates issues are designed to detract votes from kucinich. This is a systamatic attack to take away his seat and replace them with a water boy. Don't let this happen or at least don't try to spread the hate.

12. I'll take it wherever I damn well please
In this message of his, Kucinich makes references to being excluded from the Nevada debate, being off the ballot in Texas because of the pledge refusal, and such. As long as he is going to be asserting one big :tinfoilhat: against him, then I'll gladly be around to point out the lunacy in such claims.

13. *ahem
well he was exluded from the nbc debate and he was not allowed on the texas ballot because he wouldnt sign the pledge (def not legal). How can you refute it? he was invited to the nbc then denied for no particular reason. go ahead and point out whatever lunacy you want to but take it elsewhere because all you are doing is trying to hurt one of the decent dems we have in office.

6. right but he votes with us
you want to give up his voting record for a corporate shill? he will not be the president but he has always demonstrated progressive values. His opponents in the congressional race are corporate shills period. This isn't about if you like him but if you like his voting record. You give up on him here you will get one more person voting no on healthcare and i gaurentee you will not see any more bills for impeachment.

10. Keeping Kucinich in congress as one of the few genuine dissenters is not nonsense
Though I don't think his presidential bid was either, I can see why you might. But keeping him in congress is incredibly important. He's the only one with the balls to have introduced articles of impeachment! And I have been an Edwards supporter from the start, but see that Dennis plays a very important role...
