Confessions of an Inadvertent Hitman (YOU get to decide my next target!)
Edited on Mon Jan-28-08 12:14 PM by Jackpine Radical
OK, I gotta confess, I took out Gore and now I'm taking out Edwards. How did I do it? Simple. By supporting them. I have discovered over a period of many years that whoever I support falls apart in the Primaries. Or, if they do squeak through like McGovern did in 1972, they go down big in the General. Actually, I'm convinced I could have gotten McGovern out in the '72 primaries also, but he had hidden help from Nixon & Lee Atwater, who wanted to run against him. In '76 I backed Mo Udall, thereby eliminating him. And so on.

Anyway, I'm trying to figure out who to eliminate next: Barack or Hill. I don't see a whole helluva lot of difference between them in the long run. So, since I really don't care all that much, I decided I might as well make some money with my occult talent.

Here's how we do it: Send me some money with the name of the candidate you want me to support, and thereby sink. If you want me to take out Hill, send me money and a request for me to support her. If you want me to zap Obama, send money identifying him as the target. I'll support, and thereby sink, whichever candidate brings in the most money. Sorry, but I won't be able to return your money in the event that your candidate doesn't get chosen.

3. Because I aways pick the wrong one.
My power works different for Republicans. The one I choose tends to win. In 1980 I figgered Raygun was the only Republican candidate Jimmy Carter would be able to walk all over in the General Election. Just think what I've been carrying on my conscience ever since!

I was having similar thoughts last night -- I'm starting to get a complex here. I couldn't be that far off from the mainstream, can I?

only using your power on Democrats, why not Republicans....

7. I supported Gore and Kerry
I honestly don't believe thats why they lost so I don't think that I'm a curse to the Edwards campaign

I supported about 10 other democratic challenger candidates in 2006, more of them won than lost so if I look at non-Presidential elections, I can't say I pick losers

Maybe you need a larger sample to realize that you are not a curse as well
