Tejano Democrats endorse Sen. Clinton (Texas)
U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York won the backing of the Tejano Democrats at a weekend meeting in Austin. The group, chaired by former state Sen. Gonzalo Barrientos of Austin, attributed the endorsement to Clinton’s “extensive experience and history working in Texas.”

It took a two-thirds vote of the members for a candidate to win an endorsement.
