Is this a seminal moment in American politics?
Barack Obama is not my first choice, I still prefer Edwards. But the event at American University is giving me goosebumps. Teddy Kennedy is the grand old lion of the Democratic party, and his opinion matters. Patrick, Caroline, and Teddy's words were uplifting, and Senator Obama is right now delivering yet another eloquent speech.
My problem at DU has never been with Senator Obama. Indeed, I have often felt the need to defend my THIRD choice for our candidate, simply as a result of the disingenuous bullshit peddled by a few Obama supporters on this board.
Happily, I am a grown up, and do not fault Senator Obama for the spamming, shit-flinging, and general assholery of a few of his DU supporters. If he is our candidate, I will be proud to support him. In the mean time, I will continue to call bullshit on specious attacks upon other Dem candidates. (And repeated, tedious links to one's own posts are just that ... bullshit.)

1. If Obama wins, I think it will be. If he loses, this will still be a useful memory
Having the Kennedy family pass the torch is a big deal, no matter the result. But a seminal moment? I think that will only be true if Obama wins.

7. I think it's seminal, whether he wins or not
Even if he doesn't win, it will be an important turning point in politics.

2. Maybe it's ovarial.
It's funny that in a contest where one of the leading candidates is female that sexist terminology is used.
As for the substance of what you wrote, I still prefer Edwards but I will support whoever the Democratic candidate is. I hope that Senator Obama continues to be inspirational.

3. What I would like to say to DU:
You don't have to support Obama. You can continue to support the candidate of your choice.

But pay attention to Obama. Listen to his speeches. Watch his TV appearances. Why? Because he unique, and he is making history. Later you will wish you had paid more attention now.

11. I like Obama, but do you think he will hold this administration
accountable, or will we just turn a page???? Nah, I want to see this administration to be held accountable, this regime needs to pay for their crimes and lies.
