After the results Saturday night, I did a lot of thinking yesterday and continued this morning.

There is one viable candidate who can bring real change to America, one viable candidate who has the ability to fight for all the things that we all know are badly needed in this country after eight years of Bush. And, frankly, after years, decades, of the old way of dividing and conquering.

John Edwards: Thank you for everything you've done and will continue to do.

But now I will support -- in any way possible, with what little money I have and with all the time I can afford -- Senator Barack Obama.

Let's change this country!

4. Edwards for Attorney General!!!
I honestly cannot thing of a better person for that role. While he makes a fine VP, I think Edwards is probably one of the very few who could fix the Justice department at this point. Whomever wins, hopefully they consider him for that role.

12. it is not over by a long shot, we have many more primaries to go.
John is in it for the long haul. All the power to him. He has to get his message out there. And donations from us have to keep on pouring in no matter what amount.

5. Sounds good to me.
I am excited about Obama too. I like Edward's positions a lot too, but he is too far behind to make up the distance at this point.
I think his time has passed. Obama has shown he can take criticism and fight back. He is a fantastic speaker with a liberal record and
a fresh voice who has really energized youth in this country.

I say Go Obama! :yourock:

7. I cannot applaud your position supporting a candidate who has no plan to help America.
To pull your support from the one candidate who cares about us and actually "Needs' your financial and moral support is unfathomable to me.I will continue to support John Edwards because he continues to support me and is not the embodiment of the personal political ambitions of a media generated celebrity candidate.

15. oh, the media is definitely shameful on all accounts from the launching
and cheerleading of this illegal occupation in Iraq, to choosing who Americans should vote for and excluding those candidates who do have something to say, this media should have their a$$es handed to them.

10. Makes sense. I will be voting for Edwards on Feb. 5th.
But I live in Illinois, so my state will go firmly for Obama. However, I am hoping that Edwards will get enough votes get send delegates to the state convention.

13. How have you dealt with the issue of Obama's views on Reagan
and the "excesses of the '60s and '70s." I need some clarification from him, especially on exactly what conduct did he think was excessive in the '60s and '70s. Did he think Carter's peace initiative for Israel was excessive? How about Carter's environmental programs? Or maybe it was the attempt to impeach Nixon? Did he think that was excessive? Maybe he thought the peace protests were excessive? The War on Poverty? Establishing relations with China? Just what was so excessive about the '60s and '70s that Reagan was a response to?

I do not see how Reagan could have been a response to the assassinations of MLK, RFK, JFK, Medgar Evers and all the other liberals who were assassinated during those years. What in the world was Obama thinking when he said that?

If you are young and did not live through the lies of the Republicans in those years and the lies that got Reagan elected, then I can understand that you are switching to Obama. But, having lived through that time, it seems to me that Reagan's election made things worse, that he continued and expanded on the Republican excesses, the dirty tricks in politics, the lying and cheating that marked the Republican Party (and the right wing of the Democratic Party) during those years.

I will not back Obama until he defines very clearly what he was referring to when he spoke about the "excesses of the '60s and '70s." Did he mean welfare? Because if he did I won't back him either.
