I'm 100% for Edwards, but
if he isn't the winner, and Obama is the champion, I'll be behind him, because, he represents a mostly positve direction, I believe, and he seems to be a hell of a uniter. I won't have to hold my nose voting for him. I am a white middle aged woman, and if I can't have Johnny, I'll be disappointed, but I will dust myself off and get behind Barack. I will be proud to. If nothing else, if only for the fact that electing him will send a very powerful message to the world, that maybe there really is still hope for America, that we are not a done deal! Hopefully some respect we lost will be reinstalled!

1. I have been an Edwards guy
since Gore refused the invite, but right now I'm voting for Obama-he inspires me and TBH I feel a vote for Barrack won't be like voting for Dennis Kucinich. I'm sorry but John ain't winning it so I'm switching over to the next best thing and the best hope (there's that word again) against the Clinton machine

3. "Barrack" LOL
You switch from Edwards to "Barrack" and you can't even get the spelling of his name right? :spray:

6. Notice how everyone here who claims to be former "Edwards supporter" goes to Obama?
Not one has went to Clinton. Obama ans his online cronies continue their effort against Edwards in the blogosphere...

8. Unlikely
I'm not a big fan of conspiracy theories where a simpler explanation will suffice.

If I may digress momentarily, it was only a short while ago that I was undecided about whom to support. I realized that the issues were more or less awash, I'd be compromising no matter who I chose. So I decided that I would make judegements based on leadership and integrity. I concluded that the Democratic ticket should be a high leadership president with a high integrity vice president.
I don't want to start another flame war, this is my opinion only:

Edwards
Leadership: Good
Integrity: Great

Clinton
Leadership: Average (at times really good and others really bad)
Integrity: Poor

Obama
Leadership: Great
Integrity: Good

I had no other choice but to conclude that Obama / Edwards would be my ticket of choice. I think in terms of character, it is a shorter leap from Obama to Edwards than Clinton to Edwards and I wouldn't be surprised at all if Edwards' supporters felt the same.

I think an easy way to settle this would be to start a poll for Obama supporters and ask them who they'd support if Obama wasn't running. I'd do it myself, but I am not allowed.

11. I won't go to Obama. I don't like all this "unity" talk.
If I wanted unity with the Repugs, I'd join their party. I want to run a real Dem in Nov.

But then, I've already voted.

7. Why would you switch when Edwards is still in the race?
That makes absolutely no sense to me.

2. I might feel the way you do
if someone could explain to me the difference between Clinton and Obama. Right now the thought of having to vote for either one of them depresses me. Eight years of Bushco and this is the best we could do? We haven't learned not to let the corporate media pick our candidate? :banghead:

4. I hear ya,
I have only recently changed more favorably towards Obama, but it's because I want to be prepared for the worst. I still firmly believe Edwards will be able to pull some magic out of his hat, because we definitely need to trample the corporations if we intend to get anything done, but ya know, I have an idea that Obama would pick Edwards for VP, or have him on the cabinet somehow. I hope I'm not just wishful thinking.

13. i think that is wishful thinking
he and Obama have NOTHING in common. i think he would turn it down & i would be proud of him for doing so. Edwards is real change, Obama is not any change at all.

10. Obama will unite us as one big corporate family.
The change does not seem to be a change in any specific direction. But I agree that he conveys a more positive energy than the Clintons. But if he can't talk to the change that I look for, then I can't support him. He's corporate on the environment, health care, and on the military. There is no apparent change.

12. The big thing standing out in this thread
is that again, no-one seems to want HRC.

I myself want Edwards to win in the worst way for a lot of reasons, but if he can't and we get BO in the fall, then so be it. I will support BO and won't have a hard time doing it. I just think JRE would be better, maybe fate has a better hand in store for him than being the cleanup dude for the chimp and his minions.

or voting for Edwards as a write-in.

world changes the day Barack is elected, moving in direction more positive than America has ever seen. Barack seems very prepared to listen as this clip shows.
