Founder of Kinkos, Paul Orfalea, endorses Obama
Edited on Wed Jan-30-08 03:52 AM by TheDonkey
I am not one to put much into anecdotal endorsements but today in my Entrepreneurship class I was blown away by one. I have two professors, one an ardent conservative Irish man and the other the wealthy founder of Kinkos, Paul Orfalea. They both announced today that they voted for Obama!

Out of no where (this is a business class btw) my professor announced to the class that he voted for Obama. He explained that he never talks politics in class but he just HAD to tell us that he did it and how it fascinated him. He is a conservative man and voted for Bush twice (said he regretted it in retrospect) but said he felt really good to vote for Obama. He compared Obama to Kennedy and was genuinely impressed by his demeanor and compassion. The founder of Kinkos a super-wealthy and super-brilliant man who is a guest professor for the class also then admitted that he to voted for Obama! He also spent about 5 minutes praising Obama and the sense of hope he felt Barack could bring to the country.

I was really shocked to actually here conservatives/independents really step out and talk about voting Obama. Especially two very accomplished individuals. He can win the GE and heal America. Just wanted to share that particularly odd moment I had in class tonight.

Background: Paul Orfalea is currently teaching at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. The "vote" was by absentee for the upcoming Californian primary.

Endorsements like polls are meaningless.
