1. Wouldn't matter either way.
Endorsements are meaningless in my book.

As are haircuts and the latest on Britney Spears.

Whoever c-opts more of JE's message get my vote.

9. A message is meaningless if you can't trust the person mouthing
the rhetoric.

3. He's gone hard against both candidates. An endorsement
to any of the two will only alienate half of his supporters.

4. went with "whatever" as closest but really "neutral"
Both remaining candidates have some valid claim to being most likely to deliver what he said was important to him. Both have valid claims to being the best choice for his supporters. Neither as an endorsee would concern me or excite me more than the other at all.

5. I'd think it was all about the health plan and economic stimulus
because on paper - and why does this just feel so counterintuitive - Clinton is closer to Edwards.

11. Ahh, now watch the Obamamaniacs and some disgrundled Edwarians
if this were to happen, they'd turn on him like a bunch of angry gnats. Shameful.

12. I would be jumping for joy!!!
But I think that Edwards, as well as Richardson, should remain neutral and let their supporters make up their own minds as to who they would like to support from now on.

16. I think it's just as likely he'll endorse Clinton as Obama
Hillary and Obama are 99% the same on the issues. Obama's a tiny bit more accepting of religious homophobes and has a slightly more corporate friendly health plan. Clinton's slighly more conservative on Iraq. But overall, there's not a lot difference between them. The only real question is who has the better chance of winning. Also, perhaps for Edwards the question is, Who will give him the better role in government (assuming he wants one)?

17. Angered Beyond ...
So, if Edwards endorses Clinton. his supporters, who would be oh so angered, must have been mistaken about the direction in which he would take the country and his judgement. Right?

18. Huh?

Edwards was totally different from Clinton and Obama. I loved Edward's stands, but I see this as a rare opportunity to change the Presidency by getting a black man or a woman into the WH. Whoever Edwards endorses, he's going to have to base it on some other criteria than issues related to corporate abuse and help for the poor. For Edwards supporters, they won't find a lot of common ground with either Clinton or Obama. The decision to support either one of them is going to have to be based on something else, such as the simple fact that even mediocre Democrats are better than any of the Republicans.
