Kennedy Endorsement/S.C. victory do nothing for Obama as Hillary jumps above 40% in Latest Rasmussen

In the race for the Democratic Presidential Nomination, it’s now Hillary Clinton 41%, Barack Obama 32% and John Edwards 16% (see recent daily numbers). John Edwards is expected to drop out of the race today without endorsing another candidate.

The poll--that you are touting---that has the Clinton 41, Obama 32 and Edwards 16---- was a seven-day average that
ended JANUARY 27 .

As of January 27---Kennedy had not made his Obama endorsement yet.

Obama won SC on January 26. Obama's SC win would only be measured in one (or possibly two) of the seven polling days.

You cannot assert, from this poll---that Kennedy's endorsement made no impact.

You cannot assert, from this poll--that SC made no impact--because the majority of the polling data was
taken before Obama's SC win.

Here is the direct quote from Rasmussen--
"For the seven days ending January 27, Hillary Clinton earns 40% of the vote. Barack Obama is second at 31% followed by John Edwards at 16%. Other candidates picked up 5% of the vote and 7% of Likely Democratic Primary Voters are undecided (review history of weekly results)."

We don't know yet how Kennedy's endorsement has impacted Obama.

I haven't seen a poll that truly measures the full impact of SC AND Kennedy--on Obama's numbers.

I suppose a poll that is a better measure (that was taken after SC and Kennedy) will be released
later this week.
