"Colorado, our moment is now!" said Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama to an overflow crowd at the University of Denver this morning.

Obama thanked his supporters and praised Democrat John Edwards, who is withdrawing from the presidential race today.

"John has spent a lifetime trying to give voice to the voiceless," Obama said. "He consistently has made us focus on who matters."

Before that, Federico Peña, former Denver mayor who is national co-chair of Obama's campaign, revved up the crowd, saying how proud he was to serve his candidate.

"I want a president who could reunite the United States of America," he said to a roar from the crowd.

He said Obama was his choice because of his vision for fixing America's health care crisis

"He cares about everybody!" Peña said.

He said Obama can restore America's reputation abroad.

Peña introduced Denver Broncos' player Rod Smith as an Obama supporter, to huge cheers from the audience.

"I just got involved in politics about five years ago, and this is new to me," Smith said. "And I'm shaking and I'm nervous and I'm sorry," he said to laughter.

"Something has to change. It's got to change," said Smith, about leadership in America.

Among the Colorado politicians and prominent Democrats supporting Obama with their presence at the rally: Rep. Ed Perlmutter, former Sen. Gary Hart, and current state Senate President Peter Groff.

10. Some people think if their candidate says "There's no white
America, there's no Black America, there's just the United States of America," if he happens to get the nomination then the Fascist bastards are going to start playing fair? uh huh Right.......

If the Democrats don't blow it by electing Obama I think the Florida vote last night with HRC getting more votes then mccain and obama coming in 4th is an indication that Hillary would win by a landslide in the general election.
