How is it possible to watch these two candidates on stage together...
... and hate *either* of them?

I'd be awfully psyched to see us running a Clinton-Obama/Obama-Clinton ticket in the GE.

16. Me, too. Both are doing well.
Either one looks and sounds so much better than the rightwing fear fest of last night.

10. Why don't we see THIS Hillary more often? If this is the "real" Hillary, I have no problem
with her. Its the deceptive, fake and dishonest b/s that gets me. Why isn't she like this all the time? Why doesn't she fire whatever assholes, like Penn, who are running her campaign and just be herself?

has made some bad choices. I do not think she is as bad as some people think she is here.

and I've heard her ideas and what she has done personally and felt she is very well qualified.

11. I do like both of them.
There are also things I don't like about both of them. Very difficult. I just have to pray that we end up with something good for our country. I only care about our country and its' people.

15. Here's an idea,
Try not to be blinded by the glitz and glamor onstage. Instead, look at their records, look at their plans, and most importantly, look at who is donating them the big bucks. Once you start doing that kind of digging, their star power really fades to nothing.

I'm not watching tonights debate. What's the point? They have what, maybe five degrees of separation on the issues, their both corporate whores, if they get into office they will put their corporate backers far ahead of the American people. Neither one of these people represent my beliefs, my values, or the vision that I have for this country. All they are is corporate enablers, selling out this country and the people to the highest bidder.

23. Oh, I totally agree... the "star power" thing leaves me cold.

So do the True Believers on DU, who can see no flaws in their guy/gal... and nothing but eeeevil in the other.

But as for those who see nothing but eeeevil in both? Well, I can't help you there.

Not watching the debate... consider them both "whores"... yet here you are posting away on DU. I don't get it, I really don't.

26. What don't you get?
That a lifelong Democrat, whose worked, sweated, bled, donated and supported Democrats for over thirty five years is disgusted with what the party has coughed up in the way of candidates? What's not to get? Both of these people are indeed nothing more than corporate whores, selling out themselves, and if elected the American people, all for that corporate lucre.

What's not to get? That these two will provide no change in direction as we continue to head towards that cliff. That we are living in the Second Gilded Age, and much like the first one(back in the days of the robber barons), it doesn't matter who's in office, Corporate America will come first and foremost while the rest of us might be left crumbs. That much like at the end of the first Gilded Age, we're headed for our own Great Depression.

But hey, they've got a D behind their name, so they must be the good guys, right? Wrong, they have their corporate backers to pay just like the 'Pugs do, and that bill will be paid off, with interest, at the expense of the American people.

Yes, I'm a good Democrat. Truly a shame that the party has left myself, and millions of others behind.

27. Lots of things I don't get. People who confuse opinion with fact, for starters.
You're sour on both candidates, I can see that. As I've said, I'm aware of their shortcomings, too.

Me: A firm believer in full, equal rights for GLBT Americans
Me: Tired of religion and its intrusion into civic affairs
Me: Coping with disappointment before this whole process even got started!

But these proclamations you're making, about What Will Happen and What Shall Be... I just don't agree. And then to come harumphing around DU to tell everyone what terrible, horrible people our candidates are... what's the point?

18. Yes, they are both great.
Unlike the Repugs, the Dems have a couple of very well qualified and competent candidates who are passionate about the issues.
