Obama: Fix the economy. Clinton: Blame the immigrant
Isnt it an old democratic philosophy that "a rising tide lifts all boats"?

Hillary loves Las Vegas strip immigrants! They weren't required to show an ID
or speak English yet they got to caucus for their American mommy, Hillary. Very supportive of them but won't let them get driver's license. What a phony.

11. I didn't hear it either.
I did hear how every American is going to have to have health insurance, but the quote is too easily taken out of context.

8. I haven't heard Clinton blaming the immigrant
Edited on Thu Jan-31-08 09:10 PM by truedelphi
In fact she stands staunchly by the Corporate Execs who want more HB 1 visas.

So where have you caught her saying that immigration is bad?

10. Nor have I. She answered the question completely. Blame the employer.
Her answer was comprhensive. Obama was trying to pander to the needed Latino voters.

13. Oh glad to hear she stands staunchly by the Corporate Execs
that's just what we need a President who stands staunchly by Corporate Execs - because then they can hire legals and pay THEM less and depress or wages

by the way to the original poster - as a person who is neutral between Clinton and Obama you have COMPLETELY misrepresented what she said - and except for the driver's license issue - in substance Obama and Clinton said nearly the same thing...

14. I oppose the Corporate State Candidate
I am reporting what Hilary spoke of when videoed before a group of Silicon Valley execs.

Not condoning, reporting.

And now that the only candidates left are Corporate State Candidates, I guess I am going to have to practice holding my nose.

15. Sad isn't it
I was thinking today about Caroline Kennedy saying she has never been inspired by a Presidential candidate like people have told her they were inspired by her father. I think Caroline and I are about the same age and for me I'm still not inspired - and for that I am sad

I did however once have the most fabulous Congress woman - for two years I felt completely represented and then she was swept out in the '94 Gingrich bloodbath - anyway I'm not in her district any more but I understand she is running again this year and the guy who beat her in '94 announced yesterday he is not running....so I'm hopeful she will regain her seat. Not sure she inspired me but she sure as hell represented me...

9. She did not say that at all.
She was very sympathetic to the plight of immigrants. You should not criticize and belittle either of the candidates on that stage. It is unbecoming of a REAL Democrat.

Instead of a wide, broad, vague feel-good platitude.
