Clinton and Obama are both electable
I think that McCain is in trouble no matter who he faces. Republicans have an uphill battle to fight against either Obama or Clinton.

I think the ticket Obama/Clinton or Clinton/Obama would be great and winnable.

3. I think that you're deluding yourself
If Hillary gets the nod, the left and the anti-war crowd are going to skate. This effect may be mitigated a bit if Obama gets the nod, but only just a bit. Meanwhile, the centerists and independents will break hard for McCain. Add all this up, and it's a loss.

Obama might have a better chance of beating McCain, but still that chance is slim. Hillary will be DOA in November if she goes up against McCain.
