4. I'm sorry. I assumed everyone was watching the debate. I think
they just basically said the we are looking at the next President and Vice-President of the United States.

Now we just have to decide who gets which.

7. Oh HELL no!
No Clintons on this ticket. We need to move forward, not backward.

8. I hope we'll see a Clinton/Obama ticket. That ticket could beat the GOP.

I don't think Obama can win in the general election if he's the nominee. JFK and LBJ were rivals in 1960 and it was quite a convention to watch. In the end, the ticket was Kennedy/Johnson, two senators, and they beat the VP then in office, Nixon.

Better for Obama to get eight years of experience as VP working with Pres. H.R. Clinton and then run for president. He's young enough that that is not a problem for him and will make him better prepared to be president. Bill Clinton involved his VP, Al Gore, in his administration and I think Hillary will do the same. A lot of presidents haven't done so, though I know it's hard to remember that after 8 years of President Cheney.

The biggest difference to consider is who can beat the GOP.

I swore I wasn't going to vote for Clinton or Obama, but seeing Rudy and Ahhhnold endorse Insane McCain scared the shit out of me.

Someobody asked Sen. George McGovern, someone I was very proud to vote for in the presidential race in 1972, what he thought about a black man and a woman being president and he said, "Ladies first." It makes sense. She's older and has more experience. He can afford to wait because he's younger.
