I'm wondering what my fellow Edwards supporters thought...
beyond not hearing the voice of passion and compassion and progressive thought we've all longed for.

What did YOU make of tonight?

1. I'm leaning a little toward Clinton.
Got a long way to go before I decide, though.

What's the point?

The choice has already been made.

Corporations won.

People lost.

Moving on...

Sleeping in my car...

You want fries with that order?

3. Well, I thought it went fairly well ...
but I truly did miss John's voice.

That having been said, I don't feel quite as hopeless about the future as I did before. They seemed to have picked some of his themes and focus.

Agree with enthusiasm.
As usual, Blitzer was off-putting, but as long as the other two held the camera, things went very well.

I missed John terribly the debate was so lackluster. :-( I felt both Obama & Clinton held their own but it was so boring. The questions were bland, I thought Anderson Cooper did much better with the reTHUG debate.

Clinton and Obama both have alot of strengths.

I am listening to a rebroadcast of the debate on CSPAN right now.

I like what Obama is saying about the lobbyists.

23. I thought it sucked!
I think they were relieved to have John out of the way because they were incapable of following the script with him interrupting them with truth and real issues, like the issue John always brings up about the corporate machine they work for that needs to be smacked, and HARD, so we can begin to get our country back. Cardboard corporate hacks saying all the pretty things to get them in. We'll see how much they will be able to really accomplish for all us common folk. What about NAFTA? What about getting out of Iraq COMPLETELY?

But I'm still voting for John in my primary.

I thought they were both much more positive and sounded more liberal (gasp!) than I had seen up to now. He must have had quite a parting talk with them.

Overall, I'm (mildly) pleasantly surprised, but still sad over what we've lost.

30. Sorry
I cannot engage with these two. Talk about a missing spark...I felt like I was watching paint dry.

The intent of the M$M was so clear post debate. I am so sick of Donna Brazile and her "now we can get down to business and make history".

Talk about proving the M$M bias and the fact that they push the narrative..sheesh...

I won't give up on John. He gets my NY vote.

37. Edwardian members: Check out John Edwards Blog-featured story about
voting for John on Feb 5.

It appears someone borrowed it from DU and it was put up as featured post by someone from campaign.

I take that as a positive to go ahead and vote for John Edwards on Feb 5

36. I just don't know.. Perhaps Edwards took one for the team.. he's been
watching the Repug picks and thinks its a McCain/ Huckabee ticket.. Too much in-fighting is bad for the Dem party.. and that is bad for the GE... Sometimes people go for party over the politics.. We aren't going to get major progressive agendas until we get rid of Bush mentality in this country.. and it may take the easement of establisment candidates to do that... You can't get rid of the money overnight.. and the way Obama spoke tonight about lobbyists and monied interests, he's the next to go.

41. I'm probably going with Obama.
But he's been my second choice behind Edwards for a year.

I was hoping for Edwards-Obama, but the reverse would be fine, if they both wanted it.

John's voice is missed, and is needed. He was consistently the best in these half ass debates they have. Tonight, I thought both Obama and Clinton did well, but it lacked the spice that John always brought.

44. everyone is dreaming
We will have a pro-war President, make no mistake. The people who control this country want endless war, and now that they have eliminated Edwards, they will move on to the next candidate that is not pro-war. If Obama is not pro-war and gets the nomination, we will have another"incidenT" TO REMIND PEOPLE of why we need war, neverending war. In 2004 it was the Osama letter. That mild of a reminder will not work this time. It will need to be much worse. If Clinton is the candidate, we won't have an incident because she is pro-war. It's still not the economy, bad though they made it, it's the war. Only keeping the war spending going will take down the USA, and that has been the goal since 2000. Get rid of the USA. It is in the way of the NEW WORLD ORDER. Americans are too silly to see through what the media has been spinning and we will all suffer terribly for it. If you want to know what's really going on in your government you should subscribe to waynemadsenreport.com. It's chilling, but it's the truth.

45. As a person who voted in Florida on Tuesday
my suggestion is vote for the candidate you LOVE - if its Edwards vote for him - if its Kucinich vote for him - etc etc - to me there is not a nickels worth of difference between Clinton or Obama and although I really do like John Edwards he was always my second choice - I voted for him because I thought he was the most electable. If I had known he would drop out almost exactly 24 hours after I voted I would have voted for Kucinich....
