CNN: Richardson likely to endorse Clinton
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/02/01/richardson-to-watch-super-bowl-with-bill-clinton/

CNN has learned that New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson will watch the Super Bowl this Sunday with former President Bill Clinton in Red River, New Mexico.

Despite the obvious implications for the much sought after endorsement of Richardson, a Hispanic who holds sway in the community, a top Democratic source describes this as "two old friends getting together, and not to be "construed as a coming endorsement."

Nonetheless, Richardson is not unaware of the power of that picture. The former president has been phoning Richardson “with regularity” since he dropped out of the Democratic presidential race.

Richardson spokesman Pahl Shipley said the office does not comment on the governor’s private schedule.

It'll win New Mexico for her.

But he needs to hurry, or it won't mean anything.

Nice wishful thinking, though.

You do realize that Obama is meeting Richardson today?

What is your point?

I'd appreciate if the author changed his title. Nowhere does it say that Bill is going to give his endorsement to Obama.

Obama stands no chance of getting Richardson's endorsement.

If he's lucky, Richardson will stay neutral.

So does that mean since he didn't drop out, he can't endorse? You yourself said their meeting means the handwriting was all over the wall, so where was that Bloomberg endorsement? If potential 2008 candidates meet (or the husband of the candidates, I guess), over say breakfast and the Super Bowl, surely that must mean they're automatically going to endorse, right? So where is that Bloomberg endorsement?

Off the topic, Brad Pitt took Jennifer Aniston went on vacation, a week later they announced that they were splitting. This meeting of the "Bills" really isn't anything.

If Richardson was smart, he'd stay neutral.

Vilsack and Clark? And has already or will shortly play it with Bayh?

ANYONE she chooses for VP will be sorely disappointed and severely tested once they are shut out of the Hill and Bill administration.

Obviously I have switched my affections from Edwards to Obama.

Interesting talk on Wisconsin Public Radio today with a professor who has made a specialty of studying the Veeps -- he said that Bill Cohen might be chosen by Hillary in a long shot to show she can "work across the aisle." (Isn't Bill Cohen as a Repug. just another way of saying Joe Lieberman as a "Dem"?)

54. Obama on Richardson. From MSNBC
"At a press conference in New Mexico (actually in LA... NBC typo) today, Obama was asked about a possible Richardson endorsement, and Obama said there were no plans of him receiving one from the New Mexico governor. Yet Obama added that he'd love to be pleasantly surprised."

http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/02/01/628835.aspx

Obama is going to NM to campaign, not to meet with BR. BR is said to be in New York anyway.
