5. Just look at the threads starting back when Kerry endorsed Obama, moving on to Kennedy
and any other organization that dared support him. I don't think you'll see the same petty bullshit regarding Clinton endorsements from Obama supporters. But if you can find evidence of it, I'd like to see it.

49. True, but the ones who are withdrawing from MoveOn are pretty upset
about one Democrat getting an endorsement over another. That's not exactly a "We're all in this together" frame of mind, either.

38. I dropped Emily's List when they endorsed Hillary
I thought it was way too early in the process.

There are many other organizations I can send my money to, that will support my values. I don't need to support Emily's List anymore.

I don't think any other orgs I'm involved with have endorsed Hillary. Hmm.

42. Nope. Not a one.
I did quit NOW because they allowed their local chapters to spread lies about Obama's record on choice and issue press releases that were offensive tirades about Obama's endorsements. But I wouldn't have quit simply because they endorsed Clinton.

Never seen such a petulant response to endorsements, in all my years being politically active. Never.

Edited on Fri Feb-01-08 04:22 PM by Tom Rinaldo
Many who differed with him over that remained of course, but it happens both ways. A lot of people posted on DU at the time that they unsubscribed from any mailing from Clark because he endorsed Hillary.

48. Nope - I'm not that petty. I reckon that groups, even Moveon, have a right
to endorse candidates. And even though I've become an Obama supporter, I'm not going to hate the Farmworkers or Maxine Waters because they came out for Hillary. I might scratch my head and wonder why, but I'm not going to quit them/
