1. wow.
This may be the best thing I've heard all day. I don't live anywhere remotely close to San Francisco but maybe they could do an entire Obama tour. Wishful thinking? Maybe. That would still be amazing though.

22. The Greatful Dead?
did they "cross the bridge" into the 21st century to do a concert for a man who has no respect for the 20th century?

it was painful. He couldn't hit the high notes.

23. Barlow, probably, Weir maybe
Barlow isn't really in the band though.

Lesh I seriously doubt is a freeper.
Freepers don't do things like this

"Lesh was an opponent of the Iraq War and signed the "Not in Our Name" statement before the war started.'

29. The Dead are Freepers??
Oh where do people get this information?

Give me a break. I have friends who are friends of the still living Dead - and they fall into whatever formerly psychedelic pot smokers who like to have fun are.

Sometimes large contingents of the Dead followers are apathetic about voting.

But that was about five years ago - I think things have gotten quite bad enough that people are getting out of the apathy box.

Maybe you forgot which forum you are on. It's called DEMOCRATIC underground, not RETHUG underground.

Now take your "latte liberal" bashing over to Free Republic where it belongs.

20. U.S. Blues

Red and white, blue suede shoes
I'm Uncle Sam, how do you do
Gimme five, still alive
Ain't no luck, I learned to duck

Check my pulse, it don't change
Stay seventy two, come shine or rain
Wave the flag, pop the bag
Rock the boat, skin the goat

Chorus
Wave that flag, wave it wide and high
Summertime done come and gone, my oh my

I'm Uncle Sam, that's who I am
Been hiding out, in a rock and roll band
Shake the hand that shook the hand
Of P. T. Barnum and Charlie Chan (note 1)

Shine your shoes, light your fuse
Can you use them old U.S. Blues
I'll drink your health, share your wealth
Run your life, steal your wife

Back to back, chicken shack
Son of a gun, better change your act
We're all confused, what's to lose
You can call this song the United States Blues
