4. exactly -- MoveOn is its members & those who voted did so overwhelmingly for BO
Edited on Fri Feb-01-08 09:43 PM by ima_sinnic
what's so hard to grasp about that? isn't that how "democracy" works?

MoveOn is a Political Action Committee. PACs do things like mobilizing their members to support particular candidates.

oh! the horror!! :sarcasm:

10. I didn't get to vote...I didn't see the email until
after they had announced the endorsement. I had to work 11 hours yesterday and caught up on my email this evening. I immediately unsubscribed and told them why.

11. I'm a member and I choose not to vote- they didn't include my choice
and I'm pretty sure that's why a lot of their membership didn't vote, too.

13. I didn't vote because I don't want Hillary associated with the General Betray Us ad.
I even cautioned in another thread yesterday that if someone really supports their candidate, do not vote for them in that poll. It's ammunition for the right wing.

Now, whether he likes it or not, Barack will be associated with the most inflammatory ad in recent history.

Hillary did not vote to condemn MoveOn. She spoke up, defended the First Amendment, and voted against condemning MoveOn, which generated a lot of flak against her. Barack did not vote.

15. I think you're right. A commentator on CNN tonight mentioned that you can bet that this
will give plenty of ammunition to those on the right should Obama make it to the general election.

16. That is false logic for this case. You cannot use extrapolation.
Edited on Fri Feb-01-08 10:03 PM by Maribelle
What is not false logic is that over 90% did not vote for Obama. Some chose on purpose not to vote because they did not want MoveOn to make a choice. You cannot possible determine this factor to add to an extrapolation.

Give it up.

25. That was a riff on your name -- pro/con? But if you want to take it as an insult, go ahead.
I can't stop you, even though all it was, was a comment on your paltry logic and your pathetic effort to shop a nonsensical hypothesis.

Your argument sucks and isn't backed up by facts. How's that for plain speaking?

Have a swell day, now, ya heah?

22. Bad extrapolation. F in statistics.
The "voters" were invited by e-mail. Thus, they were selected - probably by age group.

I have asked several times for demographics regarding moveon.org membership, especially that age group.
