I noticed something very strange on this site.
I come to this website to be informed about BOTH candidates (Clinton and Obama); and to my surprise, this website is turning into nothing more than a sounding board for the Obama camp. Where are discussions about the real issues for the American people; and not how much in love people are with the Kennedy's. Come on already, this is about US, not about a personality contest. Isn't it time to get down to business and elect a candidate who has the kind experience (yeah, experience!!); and most importantly, a grasp of issues to get things done. Guess on your next job interview we all should skip the "experience" part; and hope for the best. I know I am going to get alot of slack, but I just cannot sit and read anymore about the Kennedy's. Let's all move on (no pun intended).

Welcome to DU. You're welcome to start a meaningful conversation about something not involving the Kennedy family at any time.

Or not.

12. Thanks for the welcome
Seem you missed the point of my original post. I suggest instead of the love-fest, let's get to the real issues. That's the bottom line, not the Kennedy's or any other endorsements. The real focus should be about the American people; and not where the primary interest of the Obama camp is--who's endorsing who. Seem irrelevant.

We do not want to ruin your experience here. How can we help?

Cup of earl grey? A moist towelette, perhaps?

8. I love the Kennedy's
I have no intention of ever moving on for my deep respect and admiration for the entire family.

I don't know what that has to do with your inability to conduct a discussion on an issue.

11. You just need The BAM
And some Hope and Change. Or to Hope for Change. Or to Change your Hope. Or something like that. After the past few months I've heard so much about Hope and Change I don't know what the heck it's all about anymore, except Hope and Change.

But welcome to DU anyway. :hi:

17. So you're saying there are no valid reasons to support a different
candidate that Clinton. I say there are. We will not agree. I'm not one that supports candidates for office based on cult of personality so your insult of sorts seems ridiculous.

25. No insult intended
but with our country going through economic crisis, health care issues, and the Iraq War, there should be alot more to talk about other than who's who in the endorsement category. Yeah, might win some supporters, but the real debate should be outlining BOTH candidate's stance on what we're facing as a country. Its good to have an educated voter on the real issues. No I am insulting anyone; there are Clinton supporters out there voting for Hillary because of husband, and some who won't because of her husband. Seems this election is far too important to be wasted on non-issues. Hopefully that's something we all can agree upon.

26. I will agree with that.
Also, endorsements aren't a deciding factor with me (though they may lend direction to some). My initial candidates are all out of the race, but I choose primarily on issues or points I can feel comfortable with.

19. I came here looking for info too - I get some, plus entertainment
There are bits of issues here and there - especially in issue-oriented groups. If you're looking just for fact the two main campaign sites can keep you quite busy.

The experience issue went out the window after Iowa (in my biased opinion).

If the extreme stuff drives you nuts start to use the ignore and hide thread functions. Good luck.

22. I guess it's kinda like Move-On endorsing Obama.....
You have a group of people that share certain values. It's what it is.

It is like 'herding cats'. We all have our own personalities and our heads will be turned accordingly.

Obama seems to be getting more 'head turns' in this analogy.

Then it would have been "sounding board" for the Edwards camp. You could have been informed about one of the THREE candidates.

27. welcome to DU you just have to be selective on what you
want to read or react to. Have a tough skin. I know some of it will bug you but even the worst person in here
is better than all of the zombies you meet all day long that don't give a crap.

If the country had listened to the people in here they might have gotten a headache but they would never would have gone to war.

29. On PBS, the Jim Leher Newshour
a pundit - don't know who - commented that during the primaries voters vote on personality, while during the general elections, on the issues.

I don't know how much truth there is.

I was an Edwards supporter because I followed his plan, for a while I switched to Biden and now it will be Clinton because she is very specific about her policies.

31. I watch PBS Newshour
and actually heard that comment(think it was Brooks--republican) If his comments turns out to be true, we all just might be be facing anther four to eight years of republicans. What a thought.

30. "The intelligent and educated Democrats are voting for Obama."
"The intelligent and educated Democrats are voting for Obama. Thats not a coincidence. They see through Hillary's BS."

That's a verbatim quote from a Barack supporter, including the missing apostrophe. So, as you can see, we Clinton supporters aren't capable of discussing the issues because, goshdarn it, we just aren't intelligent enough. We're bamboozled by the Hillary BS, which the all-wise-all-knowing Barack supporters see through.

Welcome to DU, and fasten your seatbelt, as Betty Davis would say.
