6. Obama did a rally Thursday for Latino's at a college and they didnt turn up
Edited on Sat Feb-02-08 07:46 AM by sunonmars
http://www.mercurynews.com/politics/ci_8137257?nclick_check=1

and he made an dramatic attempt Thursday with a rally at a Los Angeles trade college just hours before the final Democratic debate before Tuesday's primary. The event was billed as an outreach to Latino voters.

The only glitch? Most of the crowd was black.

I mean thats got to hurt if you do a latino outreach anf then they don't turn up.

16. Dolores Huerta
She who was co-founder of the United Farm Workers of America with Cesar Chavez. She's a legend in the latino community.

37. Dolores Huerta
Human Rights Leader, Dolores Huerta. She is the one who came up with the United Farm Workers motto, "Sí se puede", Spanish for "yes, we can", in 1972.

It feels so out of place to hear Obama using it as his own.

Senate Votes Down Anti-Immunity Bill
By Paul Kiel - January 24, 2008, 2:30PM

Well, one down. The Senate just voted to kill (table) the Senate Judiciary Committee's surveillance bill, which did not contain retroactive immunity for the telecoms. The vote was 60-36 to table, with a number of Dems crossing over. As we said earlier, a number of other amendments will also go up for votes this afternoon.

Among the Democrats voting to kill the SJC bill were Sens. Mark Pryor (AK), Daniel Inouye (HI), Claire McCaskill (MO), Mary Landrieu (LA), Ken Salazar (CO) and Tim Johnson (SD).

Update: The final tally was actually 60-36, not 60-34, and the full list of Dems voting to kill were: Sens. Evan Bayh (D-IN), Tom Carper (D-DE), Daniel Inouye (D-HI), Tim Johnson (D-SD), Mary Landrieu (D-LA), Claire McCaskill (D-MO), Barbara Mikulski (D-MD), Bill Nelson (D-FL), Ben Nelson (D-NE), Mark Pryor (D-AR), Jay Rockefeller (D-WV), and Ken Salazar (D-CO).

Come to think of it, McCaskill gave some great immunity to Barack on the "snub" incident, too.

38. Great shot of me, my wife and our friend in #2
Much Much better pics than I was able to get. I voted for Edwards a month ago and was really dissapointed when he dropped out. I really was unhappy with both H&O but after the debate and seeing her yesterday, she convinced me she has what it takes. I'm also getting really tired of Obama's internet machine and their relentless campaign propaganda disguised as news.
