Whether or not he wins the nomination this time around, I think in four or eight years he will be back and win the nomination.

14. Don't buy the BS.... experience isn't an issue NOW

Hillary's "experience" as first lady no more qualifies her for the Presidency than my being the spouse of a surgeon qualifies me to operate on people.

Obama's 46 years old... he's been a politician most of his adult life... he has sound judgement (means that he'd hire the right people), and solid character.

Don't buy into the B.S. line that Hillary's campaign gives.... all but 7 of her "35 years" of experience are as the spouse of a politician.

19. I've really warmed up to Obama.
Still voting Hillary in the primary, and phonebanking for her from home --but if Obama gets the nomination, I'll phonebank for him.

20. That makes me happy.
I, too, am committed to proudly supporting whichever of these two fine candidates becomes the nominee.

6. That's depressing because I think the chance is NOW.
It would be such a huge mistake for the Democratic Party to miss this huge opportunity. It would be a disaster and the Democratic Party would deserve it.

15. I know you do but I do think some people think we can just put them in a line - vote Hillary this
time, Barack next time - but time doesn't work that way.

Carpe diem - Seize the Day!

10. Let's hope he is the nominee NOW.
Otherwise we would have a THIEF as a nominee: http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/2/1/234527/0014/392/448115

Who steals credit off the little guy?

11. I think he will be the nominee this time..
I couldn't believe the latest polls.

He's got momentum--as more people in these Super Tuesday states pay attention.

There's only a 3-point spread in CA, according to the latest Rasmussen.

I saw--with my own eyes--what happens to a population when the Obama
campaign rolls into town. Plus, he's got the Kennedys campaigning for
him.

We can scoff at Oprah all we want, but 14,000 people showed up
for an Obama/Oprah event in Iowa. She sparks excitement for Obama
and exposes his agenda to tens of thousands. Oprah also helps him with
the older/female demographic. It's also great publicity

I think Super Tuesday will be close, but he's got the momentum--and that
will carry on beyond Super Tuesday, and put him over the top.

16. The fierce urgency of now is not a slogan.
Edited on Sat Feb-02-08 10:55 AM by Big Blue Marble
This country needs Obama now. We need transformative change that Obama offers, rather
that the incremental change that Hillary offers. This is his time. This is our time.

23. After 4 or 8 more years, I don't see how he could run the same kind
Edited on Sat Feb-02-08 12:23 PM by wienerdoggie
of campaign--he's at his prime right now, taking risks, advocating a new take on politics, energizing the party--he embodies his message perfectly. What the hell is he going to do in 2016? Experience? Yeah, like that worked for Biden and Dodd. It barely works for McCain--take away McCain's POW status, and he's just another career pol. I don't know that his chance will come around again, honestly. It's not a linear process, as someone said above. How does he possibly top this?

25. I think NOW IS OUR TIME!
There are moments in history and I think this is the moment. After sixteen years of two families. The time for a new generation.

We will never have a moment like this again!!
