Poll question: Would you be satisfied with a Clinton v. McCain GE?
I'm imagining 2000 all over again. No one really giving a shit, low turnout.

3. I think so too. Because it'll be another "rush to the center," and he's
just more popular than her.

2. I think any Democrat could win, but I don't find McCain exciting. He puts me to sleep.

4. She'd pummel him, and she wouldn't let the media get away with the pro-McCain bias
which we can all COUNT ON - they're already starting their lovefest.

5. I don't think there would be much differentiation.
Not much of any "pummeling" going on.

10. There would be a ton of differentiation

You just refuse to see it because you've convinced yourself that there isn't.

11. Did you see much differentiation between Bush and Gore in 2000?
The above race would be exactly the same.

12. How can you even ask that question in hindsight?
Edited on Sat Feb-02-08 02:53 PM by Harvey Korman
Yes. I did then, and I certainly do now. And I hold people like Nader who tried to convince people on the left otherwise directly responsible for the 8-year-long disaster we've had to endure.

7. Can I just go into a medically induced coma for 8 years?
Preferrably somewhere in Europe, so I don't get accidentally "unplugged" when hospitals start closing in the middle of the next depression.

8. If I had no other choice, I would probably show up and do my civic duty in November--

but pretty much tune out of the ugly and uninspiring day to day sniping between those two. Sigh.

13. Don't like it because she'd have to go kind of easy on him
because of his age. Just about any Repuke would have to be handled with kid gloves though, they are all so out of their league with Hillary. They do get sympathy for being slow so you can't come out with both barrels blazing (unfortunately.)
