I response to some of the lame posts in this thread

For God Sakes People look at the SC exit polls....We can pull in some NASCAR DADshttp://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/epolls/index.html#SCDEM

Edwards got the most white males Hillary and Obama split the rest evenly. It seems like we want to help them, we just don't want their votes.

The notion that the NASCAR dad is always going to be with a Chauvinist or a Racist is a very ugly steraotype....and the blanket assumption that they are republicans already is shameful..... The Democratic Party should aggressively be courting mill workers in South Carolina and Bubbas with Dixie Decals on their pickup trucks.

Edwards proved that they are attainable we need to go out and get more of them instead of looking down our noses at them or were you really just giving lip service to Edwards all along?

You don't thin healthcare and the state of the economy and their kids education is important to them?

Even if we get just 30% of them that is 30% that will not fall towards the GOP.

We should not write off the south so cavalierly it dishonors everything that Edwards was saying or were you just not listening?

3. Hey! I'm a NASCAR dad. Not a chauvinist or a racist. And a Dem to boot
I let my kids drag me to a race here in Norcal last year. It was fucking boring. Like watching paint dry. Goddamn near fell asleep and I spent more time laughing at all the yahoos in the crowd than gettin dizzy watching cars go around in a circle. There was some dumb mofos there.

Anybody that can be amused or stimulated by this shit - they're a fuckin moran. If they are that easily amused they should be easy to convince to switch parties.

What do we have to do to get the dumshit demographic into our party?

6. Good-Start with "Steraotypes" (sic)....
throw in another (Bubbas with Dixie decals) and then "lol" with a poster who continues labeling us as morons"-and, yes, I am a fan...and this after accusing others of either "playing" the race or gender card...the thing I find most disturbing is BIGOTS claiming other folks are bigots based on their choices of candidates from a valid pool of three, all the while oblivious of whom you are sneering at-and yes-the original poster has done this....Sorry but you are wrong.

I am a son of the South myslef. There arr very clearly a broad diverity og semographics in the south.... Bjust as there is a great bit of dicersity amonnf NASCAR Fand. The Bubba comment was to bring people to rememberance of Deans 2004 commeny as justposed againsty his 50-state strategy.
