So, Hillary Supporters here. WHICH IS IT?
Is she her OWN PERSON or are you running her on Bill's presidency?

Because, ANY time someone says something bad about Bill, you rush right up and say she's her own person.

Then, when anyone says something good about Obama, you turn right around and bring up Bill's presidency?

You can't run her on Bill's presidency and say she's her own person on the same board and have ANY chance of anyone respecting your posts. You have drunk the Clinton Cool-aide and you want to return to Bill Clinton's presidency. Well guess what. You are in a minority of Americans. The majority of America is ready for a change. A REVOLUTIONARY change. And Clinton (either one) can't deliver it.

28. No, but you can still do both
Why don't you think a woman can have her husband be her closest advisor, and yet be strong enough to be her own woman? Do you think women are too weak? Are you really that sexist?

12. Generalizations are generally meaningless
Different people, different thoughts, different priorities - I see little in the way of coordination or avoidance of hypocrisy on either side.

21. I don't mind folks calling out Bill on his record
Edited on Sat Feb-02-08 09:23 PM by Uben
...as president. All that is on record, and if you look at his numbers, he is without a doubt the best president in recent history.

But, if you want to attack him because he is campaigning for Hillary, I take exception. I honestly don't think I have seen a single post attacking Michelle Obama on this board, and I hope I don't! That says alot about the Clinton supporters, I think. She is actively campaigning for her husband, as she should be, just like Bill should be campaigning for Hillary.

Please don't open that can of worms.

15. I trust her judgement more than either Bill's or Barack's
I think she's smarter than both of them, I think she's tougher than both of them, I think she's far more of a fighter than both of them.

Where either Bill or Barack has a tendency to wish to accommodate Republicans, I see her as more partisan, and thus more transformative.

Hope that helps.

I don't give a flying fuck about the Kyl-Lieberman amendment.

Evidently you weren't looking for people's thoughts with your OP, you were looking to argue with them.

18. Actually...
I'm backing Hillary because;

1. I trust her, and I know what to expect, and think she would do a great job.
2. She is not a 'Siamese twin' to Bill.
3. She is her own person.
4. She has paid her dues to this country.
5. Obama and his arrogant supporters pushed me towards her.
6. Two hundred and ninteen years of being shut down, and it's time for a woman president!!!

19. Barack takes no responsibility for votes he didn't cast, but takes credit for votes he didn't cast
He runs away from his non-votes when it suits him and takes credit for other non-votes when it suits him.

He's special and can have it both ways.

Since his addled brain made him forget who Hillary's husband is, we all have to play along.

Barack, I don't mind that you're this dumb. I mind that you think I'm this dumb.
:boring:

22. Sorry, but you don't get to define me, or what I want, or tell me what I must choose,
or even tell me what artificially constructed "category" I must fit in.

I don't fit into any of the holes in your little pegboard. I'll not bother to explain myself to you because your primary intention seems to have already been fulfilled; that is to hurl insults at me. I don't know what you think this could possibly accomplish. It just makes you look angry, bitter and consumed.

25. You take a lot for granted.
"When anyone says something good about Obama, you turn right around and bring up Bill's presidency?" Prove it! Not that I noticed. Maybe you have over reacted or are overly sensitive. I don't agree with your premise or your conclusion on anything in your post.

"You can't run her on Bill's presidency and say she's her own person." Why the hell not? She doesn't have to do or agree with everything Bill has done. Doesn't mean she can't or didn't benefit or learn from his experiences. She most certainly can be her own person and still have Bill to adviser her. Don't all presidents have advisers? They just offer advice and the president decides whether or not to accept that advice.

"The majority of America is ready for a change. A REVOLUTIONARY change. And Clinton (either one) can't deliver it." Say who? Says you? I think Clinton can make a hell of a lot of changes and she has the experience and know how to do it. Obama is a newbie.
