The reason why Hillary really voted for the war...
Hillary voted for the war even though she knew it was wrong because she feared that the Republicans were going to tear up the country in two weeks, get gas down to a dollar a gallon, and claim huge success. She was too focused with her own political campaign to save the lives of fellow Americans. She can spin it whichever way she wants but she voted to use force in Iraq and everyone knew it was for the start of a war.

Actually it was Bill Maher who said something ot this tune, he is a huge Hillary fan but has endorsed Barack. It's true and everyone in Washington along with most political junkies/pundits know it.

4. "he is a huge hillary fan"
If he's smearing her in this way, I think it's safe to say he is not a huge Hillary fan.

3. Actually, some Democrats talking about the IWR vote
and just recently, too. Heard this analysis on KO, but I can't remember exactly who was talking. Certainly not some wingnuts.

power to declare war.

9. read this
1. The war was probably going to go well (ie, find WMD, get rid of a dictator, and somehow help democracy flourish in the middle east, etc.)

2. She knew she was gonna run for President someday, either in '04 or '08.

3. No democrat who had OPPOSED the war that "went well" would EVER be elected again, and certainly wouldn't be elected President.

So in her view at the time, she had no choice but to vote yes if she ever wanted to be President. John Edwards had exactly the same calculations. Everyone with a quarter of a brain knows this.

All Democratic senators knew what happened to Sam Nunn's presidential chances after he voted against the Persian Gulf war. And Nunn (a Democrat) was not some pansy...he was THE most respected congressional voice of military affairs of his era.

Now, 3,900 US soldiers are dead, it's costing us $275,000,000 a DAY, and our reputation around the world is in shatters like never before. In addition, we're gonna have militant Islamists hating us and fighting us for the next 1,000 years. (Muslims don't fight short wars, my friends. The sunni vs shiite confilct has been raging for 1,300 years.)

13. I know.
Can't wait to see what they have to say to back this one up.

I am not a supporter of Obama or Clinton. Yes, I will vote for them in the GE but neither one was my first or second or even third choice.

However, I find myself more and more defending Clinton on this board b.c some of the things that are said about her are complete bullshit.

15. She did it because she was thinking ahead and miscalculated.
I knew AT THE TIME why she did it. I CRIED to myself, AT THE TIME (as I heard Rachel Maddow did as well) because I understood immediately why she did it.
I remember saying to myself: I know they are lying to me, and so does she.

I lost in Dennis K. and then in John Edwards real human beings. People who lose after giving their all to be real for us, and who largely disregard personal ambition. And who lose because the MSM choses our candidates for us.

Now with all that in mind and all the speculation that it was
going to be an in and out war that was to lower gas prices
also historically being that legislators who don't support
succesful wars don't become presidents, do you really trust
Hillary?

20. Or be one of the people to vote against a succesful war..
Being a soft and voting against a potentially very succesful war. Would've been terrible PR for a presidential hopeful.

Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone.
If your time to you
Is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.
