Trust in me, just in me
Shut your eyes and trust in me
You can sleep safe and sound
Knowing I am around

Slip into silent slumber
Sail on a silver mist
Slowly and surely your senses
Will cease to resist

Trust in me, just in me
Shut your eyes and trust in me

OK. Now that we've got the sleepyheads put to bed, let's talk.

Have you ever been invited to the http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=2676664&mesg_id=2676664">taping of a major Sunday talk show?

:bounce:

I'm sitting here, watching http://www.nbc4.com/index.html">NBC4, the DC affiliate, where Russert is Bureau Chief. God, I love this town, especially now that I've seen my first ads for the "Potomac Primary," to be held on the 12th.

- Dave

P.S. Just remember ... when a Kaa-ndidate sings "trusssst in me, jusssst in me," resist.

7. I'm just gonna go, drop off what needs to be dropped off, and maybe ask for a mug.
Sit quietly, watch, and maybe get an autograph or two.

If there are any questions about the press kit, maybe walk backstage and have a coffee.

2. LOL. I didn't even look. I listened to Mike Dukakis on C-Span
two or three weeks back. He was asked about the Sunday morning political talk shows. His advice was not to watch. I agree.

5. I used to watch.
I've found my time is better spent taking my dogs to the dog park.

6. The best advice I ever got on the Sunday talk shows, and how to watch as an intelligent consumer.
A fine educator once told me: watch the Sunday talk shows for the ads, to know which companies to watch.

The gauzier the commercials, the more intently I look into what they have pending on Capitol Hill and key regulatory agencies. Works like a charm.

8. yes, the ads are very telling
Haven't watched them since I was a kid (well, then I was just hearing them while my dad had them on if I was in the room) but I remember some of the ads. And some of them are NOT the companies most people on the street recognize, but ones that are powerful nonetheless, e.g., Archer Daniels Midland, Cargill. Lot of petrol. companies too I remember.

16. Bingo.
Not much has changed, except when some new company emerges (e.g., Enron's famous "Why?" commercials suddenly burst on the scene right before the meltdown), I sit up and take note of a new "usual suspect."

Works like a charm. Good for investing, too. Especially once you learn how to short.

12. regarding Russert's driver
have you ever asked her what she thinks about russert?

every 'detective' movie/show I've watched that involves someone who lives "upstairs". the detective is well advised to talk to those who live "downstairs"
