"Take a breather and keep your powder dry"

Some have been wondering what this phrase means. I googled it. This is what the phrase means:

keep (one's) powder dry means, "To be ready for a challenge with little warning." or "to be ready to take action if necessary."

What John Edwards meant, I don't know, but he meant something.

What and when did he say it?

2. The phrase was in

his "suspension" speech in New Orleans on Wed.

Because his campaign is "suspended" rather than "terminated" he can continue to accumulate
delegates. I confirmed this with the state party chair in my state.

3. Now I can't find it in the transcript

I am certain I read it, and someone else mentioned it as well. I plan to listen to the audio again.

I am sure I didn't dream it. :-)

4. When he had a follow-up phone conversation with supporters.. he said

something he said in a conference call to volunteer campaign staffers after his concession speech.

6. After reading his comments

It is clear that he would prefer that we not be in a rush to choose another candidate. He is still talking with Obama and Clinton.

7. I know I'm voting for Edwards on Feb. 12

Just got my voting info in the mail, and he's on the ballot, along with Kucinich, Dodd, Biden and Richardson.
