Still undecided?
To quote one pollster regarding a "paradigm shifting" candidate from another election:

"When you need to change government, you 'clean house' when government is not functioning properly and the need is, therefore, to make government function better--in a new, more effective way. Perhaps Obama is that candidate.

"However, when your government has been destroyed along with your international reputation, and your house is burning down, the last thing you need is to clean house with a paradigm shifting candidate. We need to put out the fire and fix what has been and is being destroyed, and then go about cleaning house later." I believe the only candidate who has the depth and gravitas to stem the damage done is Hillary.

3. We need the paradigm shift
The house will just continue to burn while the firemen fight over putting it out if Hillary is elected.

The entire point of the Obama campaign is cleaning government out so it can function in an effective way. It's the only solution.

4. Burning
That means you are willing to spend time and energy cleaning the floor of a burning house.

6. If everybody comes together to do the work
the cleaning will go a hell of a lot faster.

12. If people fight
instead of putting out the fire. That's what has been happening for 20 years. Elect Hillary, and that's all that will happen in the future. It's crazy to think otherwise.

5. Has there been any discussion on this board about the 22nd Amendment
and if a Hillary win is really constitutional? This is a very odd situation, a first for this nation.

I have not seen any indepth discussions on the 22nd on this site. I just hope this issue comes up and can be debated out before 08 gets too far.

8. Welcome to DU. I totally agree with your analogy but...
I hope you are wearing your thick skin and asbestos underwear 'cause it gets really heated in these discussions! Don't let it scare you away.
