Some people here chided me for being upset with Edwards for leaving the race -- but

I am not the only one was surprised and upset with him.
I remember hearing Randi Rhoades and Rachel Maddow speak about
their total confusion as to why he would just pick up and leave.

1. Perhaps someone reminded him that JFK and MLK had wives to

tend to their children once they were gone...

At some point, Edwards will be doing this alone, and that is not going to be easy.. Can you imagine if someone was giving them real hints that the children would be orphaned if he didn't give up his quest?

2. You are not the only one that was upset. Edwards spoke for me.

He was the only one to give words to my thoughts. I am a -read at kitchen table, talk to the TV- kind of follower. His words would lift me out of the depressed, angered, disgusted frame of mind that I was in after watching the news or reading the paper.

I know his message is what most of America wants to hear but the national media turned off his mike.
