Absolutes
You know I think the problem we see in this forum is too many absolutes. Obama is not a god nor is he perfect, just like Hillary is not the devil but neither is she perfect. Too many people are making this primary race into a black and white issue, and a sort of cult of personality thing (don't believe me? Look at what people were saying about Kucinich before he dropped out. Kucinich can do no wrong, anyone who criticizes him is not a progressive...all other candidates are sinners, only Dennis is pure).
This is wrong, its the right wing fundies who look at the world in a stark black and white, good vs. evil way.
My experience is totally different from this. Life is full of gray areas. I think both candidates have positives and negatives. Do I have a preference for one or the other? Sure. I wish we could stick to the issues, although in reality they aren't that far apart on many issues. But lets stop with both the racist and sexist comments, accusations, etc..It does NO ONE justice to do that.

And for those who are ticked that their candidate isn't in the race anymore, I say so what? Face reality. I don't think anyone I ever voted for in a primary got the nomination. I accept that my positions aren't mainstream and as much as I wish to change that I have never NOT voted for a dem nominee for president no matter how much I disliked them.

The childish muckslinging we see here DOES hurt the party. That's part of the reason, that until recently the Republicans had successfully held majority offices..Their ability to come together and unify behind their party leaders.
I actually think that our diversity of opinions is our strong point.IF we can stop tearing viciously at each other.
Its interesting to me that posts about Republicans don't get nearly as much attention as the candidate bashing threads.
It would be interesting if we could make comparisons between Clintons/Obamas issues and the Republican candidates issues. Because its the independents we are gonna need to woo to win this election.
If we continue the way we are going here..I am afraid we are doomed to four more years of Republicans in the WH.
