1. It's obvious; Obama will destroy the Republicans in November.

4. Poll doesn't consider the electoral college - you need to be looking state by state
Edited on Sun Feb-03-08 10:45 AM by BeatleBoot
Also, its not even Valentine's Day yet and he's already won in November?

Not only do National Polls mean little when looking at this race (due to the electoral college aspect), national polls are meaningless this far out.

But if it pumps you up and makes you feel good - I say go for it.

5. If the polls can be changed around to favor the other candidate
his people will do it...IF HE WINS WE LOOSE THE PRESIDENCY AND THEY KNOW IT AND THEY CAN'T STAND IT.

6. Cherry picking
Here are the RCP averages:

General Election: McCain vs. Obama
Poll Date Sample McCain (R) Obama (D) Und Spread
RCP Average 01/09 - 02/01 - 44.6 44.0 8.4 McCain +0.6

General Election: McCain vs. Clinton
Poll Date Sample McCain (R) Clinton (D) Und Spread
RCP Average 01/09 - 02/01 - 46.9 45.0 6.4 McCain +1.9

There is very little difference. Take into account that Hillary has gone through a year long smear from the media, the GOP and the far left. Obama has gone through almost nothing - YET. How well will Obama do against McCain after he's through the muck?
