Being used a lot today on DU regarding Hillary's appearance on This Week on ABC.

DON'T BE FOOLED BY SUBSTTUTES, only "garnishing wages" is the accepted talking point today.

Obama LIED to the Iowa voters, claiming he passed legislation
that did not pass.
He took hundreds of thousands of dollars from Nuclear interests then
worked AGAINST the interest of his contituents.

21. How else would you propose a mandate be enforced? Again, serious here.
Edited on Sun Feb-03-08 11:52 AM by Occam Bandage
Wouldn't the logical means of enforcing a mandate be to, in cases of noncompliance, to garnish wages to forcibly ensure coverage? The alternative would be increasingly-draconian fines, which would of course be even worse.

If you're too stupid to understand domestic policy, stop trying to discuss it.

Another red X for posterity. I despise Reich wingers who think they can come here and test their bullshit on DU. And since today is "Hillary's health care mandate" talking point for you, I think my pancakes are more important that your regurgitated bullshit.

Good luck in the general election, Grandpa won't get elected, but one of OUR candidates will.

Or is it your position that a mandate would not be enforced by wage garnishment?

29. The OP doesn't CARE if Hillary said it.
That much is obvious.

Those of us who saw the show this morning know she said it. When we posted it, we were accused of using RW talking points. When the AP reported it, some were saying the AP was using RW talking points. I guess when the full transcript is available, the same people will say the transcript was doctored by the RW.

You see, Hillary isn't responsible for anything she says!

Don't expect her supporters to do any actual thinking. That's not fair. :(

35. Well, you're going to extremely ridiculous lengths to defend her
against her own words. If you don't support her, you should. The Clintons' campaign can use all the liars they can get.

But back to the topic. What do you think she meant by "going after people's wages"?

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8UIUP3O0&show_article=1

Do you have anything of substance to add, or are you stuck in the loop of accusing other people of using RW talking points even though we are using her own words?

That's the whole point. This isn't magical fairy healthcare. Not liking Hillary isn't an excuse for demonizing universal healthcare. Unless people really are happy with the status quo.
