When some try to trap me by asking what I think of Margaret Thatcher, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gro_Harlem_Brundtland">I ask them why they don't mention Gro, who I think rocks.

To me, it's revealing how Gro, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golda_Meir">Golda and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indira_Gandhi">Indira are shunted aside, by the very elements who try to raise Margaret as the sine qua non of a logical fallacy.

Oh, wait. I just answered my own question.

It's intellectually dishonest to call a man who doesn't support THIS woman a misogynist.

Knee. Jerk. Reaction.

Do you know there is a whole YouTube segment of a Michael Moore piece on Norway that he filmed while investigating that country's social programs.

He decided not to include any of the footage in the movie SICKO as Norway is so exemplary that it is unbelievable! He really thought that people would think it was satire and not reality.

I lived there for six months some twenty years ago and much of what I found out was really bizarre.

A great country except for the damn RAIN!

We hope to get there this year to do some genealogical research, etc.

The Norwegian sovereign wealth fund is one of the most exemplary ones, too. They've got their rainy day fund down, no pun intended.

And if more Americans knew about how well their "socialist" approach to government has worked...

3. I was there in 1979. Get this:
The government decided that they should encourage people to eat meat. And also that it should be Norwegian raised, so that they weren't importing meat.

It was decided that sheep would be good for Norwegians to raise. So in all the little hamlets and more rural places, everyone had a sheep. You were alloted a small check each month for raising your sheep.

This made going to the store very intereting. You are trying to get into the local grocer's or tavern, and there would be a sheep or two or three, and they are quite stubborn animals. I spent quite a lot of time pushing sheep around! If I had stayed there any longer, I think I would have gotten myself a sheep dog of some type.

Even back in the States, if I was planning a trip to a grocery outlet, I would dream the night before about having to move those sheep!

So, what you're saying is, "counting sheep" doesn't work for you, like it might for some?
