1. That's a great ad.
It is what it needs to be given the circumstances: upbeat.

Nobody wants to watch a sad ad during the Super Bowl.

You have to get your money from somewhere when you cut out large segments of the lobbyist piggy bank. Rather your candidate be beholden to the people or the Oligarchy?

6. why the snark?
so you support hillary... don't go into obama threads to be snarky towards his supporters.

the hostility between folks both in the democratic party on on DU these days is absolutely disgusting. this come from someone who supported edwards because of this hostility(and because he was the best candidate imo).

55. i have a feeling that "yes we can" was said many many times
before United Farm Workers ;)
of course it was UFW's slogan and they made it popular(or more so "sí se puede")... the being said, the obama video and his yes we can speech were freaking amazing and he has really adopted it well.

28. The power of the "Yes We Can" would be tough to capture in 30 seconds.
But then you're the oh so talented videographer so I'm probably not telling you anything you don't already know. :hi:

Still for him to have secured a 30 second spot on the Super Bowl in the "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" states is a major coup.

I stole that Mary Poppins reference by proxy from Doonesbury. . .

it wouldn't be as powerful but it'd still be pretty damn powerful. i wish they could afford to start airing it all. however, the internet has proven to be very important this election season. ;)

i just love "yes we can"

48. Well I was just thinking about how a large part of its power
lies in the diversity of voices involved.

"Yes we can" is an equally great affirmative catch phrase to "Peace takes Courage" IMHO.
