1. Everyone I talk to here in Utah is supporting Obama.
My family, except my dad, will go Obama. The site that was once Dean for Utah (now Democracy for Utah) has endorsed Obama. He has a big bulk of the state Democratic legislature and is winning big in polls. What am I saying? Well, I think you know what I'm saying. ;)

3. Everyone I know here in Utah is for Obama too - I already sent my absentee vote to Edwards but I
hope Obama wins. I just worry about the poorly functioning machines. :scared:

2. I know New Jersey and Georgia has 'em and I think Delaware does too.
I think Massachusetts and Connecticut have optical scanners.

I'm certain about NJ and Georgia and my neighboring states but don't quote me on Delaware.

One can go to the Secretary of State's site for each state to find out.

That would take some time and I'm kinda busy.

:hi:

And happy belated birthday !!!

Sorry I missed it and still owe you last year's present. :)

5. Arizona doesn't have them. We feed our ballots into optical scanners.
Every candidate has a broken arrow next to their name. You connect the arrow with a pen. No touch-screens here.

8. Me three.
Their vote tallying software is totally hackable.

Have you been following the shenanigans in NH around the botched and blocked recount?

What a charade.

some baloney about the chain of custody of the vast majority of the ballots.

Kucinich's people ran out of dough.

There were reports of the vans carrying the ballots cruising through the windy roads in NH going up to 90 mph to lose the activists who were trying to tail them.

There were also stories of sliced boxes and really insecure security seals on those boxes to begin with. It was not conducted statewide.

The volunteers were in some cases not allowed bathroom breaks or to get food or water.

The hand counted ballots all favored Obama and were congruous with the exit polls and the machine counts all favored Hillary and were not. No I don't think she or any of her people were responsible.

I got all this info from here and Brad Blog and Mark Crispin Miller's site.

12. HOLY SHIT!
:wow:

So sad we'll have no idea who was really elected in this country unless we dump these machines.
