For too long they have divided us
I believe that if he sticks to his message of Unity, Obama can effect far more change and drive through progressive policies by making our discussions less about party and more about issues.

What has kept us under the jackboot of Corporate Oligarchy for so long is that America is divided along party lines. People don't even listen to the issue because this or that idea is labeled as Librul, or Conservative. Undoubtedly they will continue to try to do so... but Obama has a chance at getting us all behind solving our many problems. Inspire the country behind a cause and the establishment may have to listen.

3. It works
By first and foremost not taking Lobbyist and PAC money.

Secondly by not focusing on the divisions between Pukes and Dems... but rather the issues.

Third by massively increasing government transparency, he's got some wonderful proposals to do so.

Finally as much as many of you on here seem to hate it: by sheer force of personality. Get the public behind a cause from a pulpit that the media can't ignore, and you have a chance at getting something done.

4. Slamming the door shut on the Clinton era and crippling the DLC would be a damn good start.
They are the ones dividing us.
