1. The reverse is true. they want Hillary. She will unite their base and get the independents
to vote their way.

25. So has Obama..you know, the ones who have been "invested"
in the struggles of the 60s...which he is NOT. Interesting, he gets a lot of Camelot-Kennedy's but he tells the Las Vegas paper that he isn't INVESTED in the 60s....

This is where the cognitive dissonance sets in...

12. What base?
Edited on Sun Feb-03-08 09:10 PM by sjdnb
Look at the fundraising/primary voting numbers - their base is irrelevant.

Neither Hillary nor Obama supporters have anything to fear from their 'base'.

3. F the racist fundie minions...
It's time this country made a change and elected people of different races, gender, and religion. Heck even Pakistan had a female prime minister. Why go preach to them about "democracy"?

5. The same, exact argument could be made about Hillary.
"We don't want Bill Clinton running loose in the White House" will be the right wing argument against Hillary.

So what's your point then?

I think either candidate will be able to defeat the Republicans dispite these right wing smears.

10. I don't know why...
People choose a candidate based on electability. I am choosing Obama because of the issues not his gender or race. Why can't more people on our side do this?

Is just a poilitcal opportunist who cozied up to Shrub even after being destroyed by Rove. He just wants the presidency at any cost. Most conservatives can't stand him....

20. Ohhh I agree....
Kerry should have know Rove was a dirty trickster the way he destroyed McCain in SC. It was pathetic the way we let the swift boat people destroy everything.

26. YES!!! thank you, i could not believe he didn't see it coming,
then to just go limp and not respond at all......

it reminded me of the Kitty question that killed Dukakis back in 88,
and the Willie Horton add as well
(if you don't remember these things people, you are part of the problem)

he did have to respond directly, he could have just went after them for their tactics

he should have shown people he was more than a soulless politician

but he failed

because he is a soulless politician

7. but you could well make that argument about ANY of our candidates,
through time.

Isn't it time we quit running scared? There are a lot of women out there, a lot of racially diverse Americans who have been waiting to see these types of candidates have a legitimate shot at the White House!

Why should we be afraid - of Romney or McCain?

seriously.

much to look forward to from the future.

I'm an Obama supporter, and I'm no cheap violin, or a pawn of the RW machine.

If I allowed fear of what other people think to dictate my choice for president, then I will have lost everything even if my vote wins.

peace~
