Hillery has not been 'vetted'
Edited on Sun Feb-03-08 09:58 PM by fuzzy otter pop
lots of bad thing have been said about her
but this is the first time she has run for president
just cause some people are aware of some stuff that was said 10 years ago
does not mean it wont have an impact again

the real test will come in August and September with bumper to bumper coverage of white water
travel gate, the rose law firm scandal, a Monica redux, and more to come

believe it, it will happen

if you don't remember some of these scandals
start reading up, because she played a major role in every single one of them

simply put
there is just no way
she can win after the whole nation is drug through a rehash of this filth

they will smear her back to the stone ages
and it will stick
because
she has demonstrated repeatedly
that
she is a corporate cash powered ambition machine
and
people will start to remember all this stuff from the past

(if they ever heard at all, surprise, surprise, the public has a short memory and no attention span, people will say "she did what????, i don't remember that...., that changes everything!!" )

people will believe it this time also
because
it all seems like stuff she might do, you know, like work for wal-mart.....

the repuke hate machine will be on full tilt

with McCain caped on spending these smear attacks will all be independent expenditures
and out of control
the crazy bastard, (McCain) will simultaneously befit from them
and denounce them
as the problem with $$$ in politics

its a slam dunk win for him

4. You're completely wrong on this, I hate to tell you.
The pukes tried to bring the Clintons down with all of this crap and it didn't work. Bill still has a 70%+ approval rating, as he did when he left office. Hillary was elected overwhemlingly twice in New York. The pukes don't have anything left to attack her with. Obama is fresh meat to them.

5. For the last time BILL IS NOT RUNNING
Edited on Sun Feb-03-08 10:09 PM by fuzzy otter pop
and

how exactly could they have brought Hillery down?

you can't impeach the first lady!!!!!

so she won in New York.... big whoop

this is her first time as a presidential candidate

it all will come up again

and it will do damage to her

BTW

Obama is vulnerable, but so what????

to say she isn't is willful blindness

at least with Obama you have a fighting chance
just not a great one

7. I didn't say Bill was running.
You posted issues the rw attacked Bill on, so I showed you how it didn't affect the public's opinion of him. These issues have been hashed over and over again. They didn't work the first time, the pukes are smart enough to know they won't work again - aparently, you aren't.

It's not hard to see your whole purpose at DU is to attack Hillary.

10. she was deeply involved in all of it and they will attack her again
Edited on Sun Feb-03-08 10:28 PM by fuzzy otter pop
i am just trying to make the point that she is vulnerable
in a major way
on these things

no one wants to recognize these facts

or is even willing to try to explain why they wont do her damage

swift boat style.

and just saying because Bill is popular

is not an answer to the question

she had an active role here and they will pound on it over and over again

and as usual

we have no response

except to say "she was vetted!!! no fair!!!"

12. I just can't trust analysis from someone who doesn't know the candidates names.
If you can't get her name right, how can you be right on deep issues?

15. i caucused for Edwards, here in Nevada
Edited on Sun Feb-03-08 11:04 PM by fuzzy otter pop
now i am hoping for the better of the two to pull it out

i think it is Obama right now

for two reasons

One, Hillary's past will be a tremendous liability no matter what anyone says, i have seen it before
(remember the war hero Kerry)

Two, the youth voters that have turned out for Obama are truly a phenomenon that
could change the electoral map for a generation

they may also carry him to victory in November
with a lot of luck,
and hours of hard work

even a lost effort for Obama would make this a better party

and
a Hillary victory could end up being Pyhrric
in so much as she will become a constant target
and she would be hard to defend

at least for me

Ps
sorry to get snippy but i am dyslexic and disgraphic
with some of the adhd as well(but IQ 143)
its like have a VW beetle with a nascar engine in it
i get a little frustrated sometimes
and
spelling critics get me down

17. If Hillary is nominated....
1) most Democrats will vote for her, but a smaller than expected turnout
2) you can forget about high voter turnouts among blacks and young voters
3) the repubs will go the polls in record numbers to vote against Hillary
4) the repuke slime machine will have a wide variety of old, previously established memes established about Hillary to choose from...in addition to any new memes they may invent. Hillary does not come off better because many independents already believe the old memes and this will make it even more easy to believe any new ones that will be established
5) it is illogical and almost incoherent babbling to assume that the repubs will not establish new memes about hillary just because they have already been successful in establishing old memes about hillary.
6) hillary will not be able to use the issue of iraq against mccain because mccain would be able to throw her iwr vote against her and point out she is only flip-flopping because the political winds have changed...whereas mccain stuck with iraq even when unpopular.
7) hillary will not be able to cry if things get tough and have it improve her polls, like it did just before NH
