I'm curious about what haters on both sides here hope to accomplish with inflammatory posts...
that do nothing except turn GDP into a cesspool of hatred among us? Outside our online world here, all the Democrats I know are divided (husbands, wives, children, employers, employees, old, young, men, women) between Clinton and Obama for all kinds of reasons, but I have seen absolutely no vilification of the candidate one is not supporting like I see here. (I was here, by the way, throughout the 2004 candidate wars, and in my opinion, they were nothing like this.)

Again, if posts are within the rules, there's nothing those of us who are sick at heart about this hardened divisiveness can do. (We wade through the filth, trying not to miss some of the gems of wit, wisdom and enlightenment that can always be found here.) But if the crap thrown at each other, and the opposing candidate, serves no purpose except as a self-indulgent exercise in venting, insulting and belittling others, and slandering a Democratic candidate in a way that will never change another's mind -- then maybe it's unnecessary.

Just a thought. Move along, and carry on, as all have every right to do here. And many thanks to the many DUers, even here in GDP, even now, who post with respect, fair-mindedness, and good sense, and especially those who've posted the frequent conciliatory threads in an attempt to raise the level of discussion and civility on our board.

2. Its the rough and tumble of bare knuckle politics. Nothing new.
I'll bet 90% of all here fall in line behind the nominee when that happens.

JMHO. I think it's pointless. I'm not here to ignore people. I realize others have different views on this.

9. whatever
I have seen ernesto's posts they do not lie, they promote discussion. He may be frank when he sees someone trying to gerrymander but he does not deserve it, it was a community effort destorying gdp.

10. Oh please grow up.
The day will come that, if Hillary gets the nom, you will thank us for training you in a FRACTION of the crap she is gonna get in the GE from the Republicans.

Take a wider view of this than just yourself, for once.

and unproductive as you.

5. a look at California is all you need to do
The purists have destroyed all our candidates for Gov, twice in recent memory. Republicans just rerecorded the democrats and mutilated both Davis and Angelidies

6. Some people want attention
And posting something inflammatory and insulting surely will get them attention. Best thing to do is not to feed the egos.

Then too some can't support anything unless they vilify its opposite...in this case the candidates. Now that it's down to two active candidates, it gets worse. (MY candidate is a god(dess), yours is Satan).

13. I don't know what they hope to accomplish.
It's very disheartening to see how the level of discourse has degenerated. We've become no better than the MSM with the whole "Gotcha!" style of distorted information.

My grandmother is voting for Hillary on Tuesday. I'm voting for Edwards and my sister is voting for Obama. I'm just happy as hell that at 83 years old, my grandmother is still an active participant in the political process.

Let's not lose sight about what we are truly fighting against.

but those who are just hateful and nasty about it. I'll clear my list after the primaries are over.

that when the nominee is determined they are going to need the other sides support in the general election, or we will lose for sure

than any of its other possible functions. I doubt all the hatred will have much of an impact except on the lives of those who partake in it.
